Ben Israelite, Sr. Director of Strategic Alliances, spoke with Brian M. Westbrook from GeekWire at the AWS Marketplace Sellers Conference about what it takes to move agentic AI into production.
Many organizations are stalled at the pilot stage, Ben said, with security, governance, and control as the biggest barriers.
A centralized control and execution layer, combined with Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI services, lets customers scale agents securely, achieve more predictable outcomes, achieve closer alignment between IT and business teams, and deliver ROI in production.
When the right control is in place, customers can run agentic AI in production with confidence.

Workato is the execution and control platform for Agentic. Our business has changed immensely over the last few years, especially with AWS Marketplace as a core pillar of that. We specifically are seeing organizations want to take Agentic to the next level, and they're just stuck in this pilot phase. And the biggest detractor for what's putting them into production is security and governance, and ultimately control of what those Agentic capabilities can do inside of your organization. Together with AWS and AWS's AI services, Bedrock, SageMaker, Quick, and the rest, we are very specifically seeing significant customer return, ROI in production, by allowing organizations to tap into that centralized control and execution layer, and allow end users to really maximize the value of Agentic without having to create risk to the business. This control plane is what's actually unlocking production with AWS AI services.
Bow tie game on point, sir. ;)
