News & Updates

Focused on the Future of Technology Disputes

JAMS recently launched its Technology Industry Group, a focused offering designed to address the growing volume and complexity of disputes across technology-driven industries. The group supports matters involving AI, intellectual property, cybersecurity, blockchain, digital assets, FinTech, HealthTech and other emerging technologies.

“The Technology Industry Group is a natural evolution of the work already taking place at JAMS. It provides a clearer framework for addressing disputes that involve technical subject matter, significant commercial stakes and increasingly complex regulatory considerations. By organizing this work into a dedicated practice, we are making it easier for parties and counsel to engage the appropriate experience, procedural tools and operational support these matters often require.” - Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president

The State of ADR: Growth, Demand and Impact

JAMS, in collaboration with Law.com, recently released findings from its 2025 ADR Industry Trends Survey, reinforcing that ADR is now a core component of legal strategy. Nearly half of attorneys report using ADR at least once per month, with mediation continuing to lead as the most widely used process.

The survey also highlights key drivers behind this growth, including efficiency, cost savings and increasing client demand for faster, more flexible dispute resolution.

Efficiency Meets Innovation: Updated International Rules

JAMS recently updated its International Arbitration Rules and Procedures to enhance clarity, modernize processes and support more efficient proceedings. The revisions reflect a broader focus on innovation and sustainability in global dispute resolution.
