  • Today at #GeminiAtWork, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian announced the Gemini agent—a single, universal agent for work that acts as a secure, collaborative coworker across all your applications. 💼 This architecture shift brings enterprise-grade security and persistent execution to highly regulated sectors. In the public sector, pioneers are already scaling these capabilities—from the The State University of New York launching secure research platforms, to the DoW Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) bringing on 3 million US armed services members. Today's breakthroughs mean public sector leaders can safely move their simple workflows towards secure, autonomous delegation. 🔗 Read the full blog to explore the announcements And join us at GPS Summit on October 20th to hear more: https://lnkd.in/gCz3ZWsY #GooglePublicSector #AIforGovernment #Innovation

Today at Google Cloud’s Gemini at Work event, we announced Gemini, a new single universal agent for work that has all of your business context and can be used for everything from knowledge work to answering questions, and content creation to coding, all from a single prompt box.  It’s built around core architectural principles: ✔️ Unified Agent: Gemini can answer questions, do knowledge work and generate code from a single prompt box. ✔️ Access: Gemini is web-based and can be accessed from any device and integrated into third-party applications. It can also operate without a dedicated user interface. ✔️ Persistent Execution: It runs in the cloud, which means it maintains a single set of memories, context and one personalization graph no matter where you access it. ✔️ Multi-Agent Orchestration: Gemini can create sub-agents to tackle multi-step tasks and can also act as a coworker agent with a defined role and its own dedicated identity ✔️ Context: Gemini knows your tools, data, and work history and learns how you work the more you use it.  ✔️ Model Choice Flexibility: It orchestrates across multiple models to deliver optimal quality and lower your costs. • 🚀 Putting advanced AI tools right into the hands of researchers is how we can accelerate life-saving breakthroughs. We were thrilled to partner with NVIDIA to host a first-of-its-kind AI and Research Day at the Baylor College of Medicine. Over 120 researchers and Principal Investigators (PIs) joined us in Houston to explore how Google Cloud’s High-Performance Compute, AI tools and foundational models can transform clinical workflows. This high-impact day was all about empowerment —equipping academic and medical researchers with the advanced AI tools, foundational models, and HPC capabilities needed to drive breakthroughs in genomics, digital pathology, and healthcare. The team focused on two main areas: 🧬 Accelerating discovery: Discussions on leveraging Gemini-powered scientific tools to streamline complex workflows and clinical research. 💻 Hands-on enablement: Interactive, developer-focused labs designed to give researchers practical, real-world experience using Google Cloud and NVIDIA tools. A huge thank you to the Baylor College of Medicine leadership and our incredible partners at NVIDIA for collaborating with us to make this day a success. Together, we are building what’s next in healthcare and biomedical AI. #GooglePublicSector #HealthTech #CloudComputing #HPC #GoogleforResearch
