What licensing options are available?
UltraEdit is available with subscription or perpetual licensing, with options for individual users, teams, and organizations.
Subscription licenses provide ongoing access to UltraEdit, updates, and upgrades for the duration of your plan. Perpetual licenses let you keep using the version you purchased indefinitely and include one year of maintenance.
What’s the difference between subscription and perpetual licensing?
With a subscription, you can use UltraEdit for as long as your subscription remains active and receive new updates and upgrades as they are released.
A perpetual license lets you use the version covered by your license indefinitely. It includes one year of maintenance with access to updates and priority support. If maintenance expires, you can continue using the last version released during your maintenance period.
What is included in UltraEdit Enterprise?
UltraEdit Enterprise combines UltraEdit with additional tools for more advanced workflows, including UltraCompare, UltraFTP, UltraFinder, and UltraStudio, along with additional licensing benefits for organizations.
What’s the difference between a personal and multi-user license?
A personal license is licensed to one individual and can be installed on multiple devices for that person’s use.
A multi-user license covers multiple users under one centrally managed license, making it easier for organizations to deploy and manage UltraEdit across a team.
For larger deployments, volume and concurrent licensing options are also available.
How do multi-user licenses work?
Multi-user licenses let organizations purchase licenses for multiple people while managing them under a single license agreement.
The number of licensed users or activations depends on the number of licenses purchased, making deployment and administration easier than managing separate individual licenses.
How does concurrent licensing work?
Concurrent licensing allows an organization to make UltraEdit available to a larger group while limiting simultaneous use to the number of concurrent licenses purchased.
For example, a 10-seat concurrent license allows up to 10 people to use the software at the same time.
Concurrent licensing can be selected when configuring your plan, or you can request a quote for a larger or customized deployment.
What is maintenance with a perpetual license?
Every perpetual license includes one year of maintenance, which gives you access to product updates and priority support during that period.
After the first year, you can renew maintenance to continue receiving new versions and support. If you choose not to renew, you can still use the last version covered by your maintenance period.
Does maintenance renew automatically?
Renewable maintenance may be set to renew automatically so that your access to updates and support continues without interruption.
You can manage automatic renewal through MyAccount or contact UltraEdit support if you need help with your renewal.
Do you offer education or volume discounts?
Yes. Education pricing is available for eligible customers, and volume pricing is available for organizations purchasing multiple licenses.

What happened to UltraEdit All Access?
UltraEdit All Access has been replaced by UltraEdit Enterprise, which brings UltraEdit and its companion tools together in one package.
