This week’s Luzern Weekly Briefing is now live! We’re looking at: 🤖 Building with AI: in this week’s Expert Insight, Conor Doyle our Business Intelligence & Product Manager at Luzern, shares how AI is changing the way we build products and why the real advantage lies in combining AI with the right people, expertise and data. ⚔️ Amazon vs Meta: Amazon has blocked Meta’s Muse AI agent from shopping on its platform, raising a much bigger question for agentic commerce: who gets to control the customer relationship when AI agents start shopping on our behalf? 📦 The Buy Box is changing: Amazon has started adding provenance messaging such as “Sourced from X” and “X approved” to selected listings, potentially bringing supply-chain relationships and authenticity directly into the customer experience. This week, we’re looking at AI from both sides of ecommerce; how it’s changing what businesses can build internally, and how it’s beginning to reshape product discovery, platform control and the digital shelf. Our partners at ChannelEngine have released their latest Marketplace Seller Trends Report, revealing how seller priorities are shifting in 2026. Based on research with 550+ ecommerce managers across France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the US, the findings point to a marketplace landscape that is becoming increasingly focused on profitability, AI and operational efficiency. A few findings that stood out: → Profit margin per marketplace has overtaken net sales as the #1 measure of success → Implementing AI is now sellers’ top priority for 2026 → 3 in 5 sellers are still operating mostly manually or with only partial automation The findings highlight an interesting gap: while sellers are increasingly focused on AI, profitability and smarter marketplace growth, many are still managing the underlying operations manually. A useful read for brands looking at how marketplace strategies and priorities are evolving. 👉 Download the full report from our partners at ChannelEngine: https://lnkd.in/d8bvWYBG
