Thank you to everyone who has supported the Exodus Nepal Disaster Response Appeal so far. Your generosity has raised an extraordinary £40,000 so far (including matched giving through the Exodus Travels Foundation). As a result, our humanitarian aid partner, REACT, has already begun getting help to some of the hardest-to-reach communities in Nepal, focusing on villages that have been cut off by damaged roads and infrastructure. This week, generators funded through the response were flown into remote villages in Rasuwa District, restoring power and vital communications for communities now only accessible by foot or helicopter. The appeal has also supported HAPSA Nepal, a local organisation with 300 volunteers producing more than 600 sanitation kits every day, providing clean water treatment, hygiene supplies and essential health items to affected families. A great example of how long-term conservation investment can make a real difference. We're proud that the Exodus Adventure Travels | B Corp™ Foundation supports Fauna & Flora's work to protect the critically endangered Tonkin snub-nosed monkey in Vietnam. From habitat restoration and community engagement to species monitoring, this is conservation in action. The recent planting of ironwood saplings will help strengthen and reconnect forest habitat while also providing a future food source for these remarkable primates. Even more encouraging, the population in the Khau Ca forest area has grown significantly since it was rediscovered in 2002. There's still much work to do, but stories like this show what's possible when conservation organisations, local communities and supporters work together for the long term. Tonkin snub-nosed monkeys in Vietnam have just received a double dose of good news. The ironwood saplings that have recently been planted will not only grow to provide additional forest habitat for these critically endangered primates, but also serve as a valuable additional food source in later years. Fauna & Flora has been working in Vietnam to protect the species for 24 years, from working with authorities to ensure its forest home is properly protected, to engaging local communities on monitoring and habitat protection. Since we rediscovered the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey population in the Khau Ca forest area in 2002, its numbers are now three times higher. But the work is not over, the monkey is still one of the 25 most endangered primates on Earth, and severe habitat fragmentation still threatens its existence. The 2nd-8th July saw a lot of "movement" from the Exodus Adventure Travels | B Corp™ team! Movement 2026 focused on a week dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the protection of endangered species across the world. The week rounded up with the following: 🔷 Collectively, we all walked 3.4 million steps, to help highlight the cause of endangered species like the jaguar. 🔷 We raised over £2,500 for our Wild at Heart Projects, empowering community-led conservation across Costa Rica, Vietnam, India and Kenya. 🔷 We had a heroic team take on the Welsh 3000s challenge in 24 hours, where they raised over £2,000. With being such a global team, there was so much effort put in by our working group to make this happen. There was screen/vinyl printing, raffle draws, bake sales and office celebrations. Exciting to see what came out of the first year, looking forward to seeing what comes out for the next!
