For the second year running, eight Beckons lodges have been recognized in the MICHELIN Guide Keys - and this year, Southern Ocean Lodge has been awarded Three Keys. Only 155 hotels around the world hold Three Keys, making this an incredibly rare distinction. Southern Ocean Lodge is one of just two new Three-Key properties in Oceania, with MICHELIN inspectors describing it as a shining example of creative modern architecture in a remote and rugged locale, with exceptional opportunities for wildlife and nature experiences. Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and Tierra Patagonia have both retained their Three Keys, while Longitude 131°, Capella Lodge, Silky Oaks Lodge and Huka Lodge have each held their Two Keys. Tierra Atacama has also moved up, from One Key to Two. That means all eight Beckons lodges recognized in the MICHELIN Keys now hold either Two or Three Keys - representing an exceptional stay that is unique in every way, or the extraordinary kind of experience MICHELIN describes as a destination for the trip of a lifetime. Huka Lodge in Taupō, New Zealand has been ranked No.82 on the extended 51-100 list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026, marking a second consecutive year of recognition for this Beckons property.   Set amongst 17 acres of parklike gardens on the banks of the Waikato River, Huka Lodge has welcomed guests since 1924. What began as a fishers' camp has grown into one of the world's most storied luxury retreats, known for its warmth, exceptional dining, and real sense of place. Tomorrow Beckons is hyper-local by design. Every Beckons lodge partners with a dedicated community or environmental organization in its region, allowing guests to directly support meaningful local initiatives - from protecting endangered Australian sea lion pups on Kangaroo Island and restoring wild salmon habitat on Vancouver Island, to helping educate the next generation of Atacameño custodians in Chile's Atacama Desert. “Tomorrow Beckons is our commitment to ensuring that responsibility becomes part of who we are, not just something we aspire to. Two Beckons properties, Southern Ocean Lodge and Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, have been named to Robb Report's 50 Greatest Luxury Hotels 2026, a "rarefied pantheon" of properties that transcend trends and embody a true commitment to excellence in luxury hospitality.   Compiled with insights from Robb Report's esteemed Travel Masters, specialists serving the world's most discerning travelers, the list highlights properties consistently endorsed for delivering exceptional, place-led experiences. Both lodges were endorsed by Jules Maury, Head of Scott Dunn Private, and one of this year's Travel Masters.   For Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, the recognition marks a return to form since its 2024 rebuild. The lodge's 25 suites sit low along the clifftop. Every room offers, as Maury puts it, "uninterrupted, sweeping views of the Southern Ocean," looking out over wild mallee bushland and the white sands of Hanson Bay, with not a dud room in the house.   At Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, this recognition speaks to its benchmark in barefoot luxury: a remote, deeply immersive nature experience on Vancouver Island where Waterfront Ensuite Tents line the banks of the Bedwell River, offering direct, unobstructed water views, "we would always aim for these for our Scott Dunn Private members," says Maury.   It's worth noting that this is only the second year the list has recognized remote lodges alongside heritage hotels and villa collections, a category shift Robb Report called out specifically in this year's introduction. Southern Ocean Lodge and Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge sit within that shift, alongside a small group of properties redefining what "luxury hotel" means to the publication's readers.

In exciting news, Beckons has announced plans for an ultra-luxury lodge at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa, the first approved new build for the portfolio since the brand's launch in March 2026. The intimate nine-suite retreat will be set low in the red dune landscape adjacent to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, with unrivaled views of Uluṟu from the restaurant, bar and lounge and from every guest suite; from the end of the bed, or from the cool sanctuary of a private plunge pool. Designed by Australia-based JAWS Architects and grounded in genuine First Nations cultural exchange, the lodge extends Beckons presence in the Red Center alongside the acclaimed Longitude 131°. "One of the world's most powerful and spiritually significant landscapes, Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa is an extraordinary place to deepen our presence in Australia and from which to grow our global footprint," said Beckons CEO Michael Crawford. "At Beckons, the most memorable journeys are created by a personal and genuine connection to place." Each suite will feature a commissioned work interpreting Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters), a significant Aṉangu Creation story told in the stars above the Central and Western Deserts, developed through ongoing partnerships with Ernabella Arts, Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Tjala Arts and the APY Art Centre Collective.
