  • For the second year running, eight Beckons lodges have been recognized in the MICHELIN Guide Keys - and this year, Southern Ocean Lodge has been awarded Three Keys. Only 155 hotels around the world hold Three Keys, making this an incredibly rare distinction. Southern Ocean Lodge is one of just two new Three-Key properties in Oceania, with MICHELIN inspectors describing it as a shining example of creative modern architecture in a remote and rugged locale, with exceptional opportunities for wildlife and nature experiences. Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and Tierra Patagonia have both retained their Three Keys, while Longitude 131°, Capella Lodge, Silky Oaks Lodge and Huka Lodge have each held their Two Keys. Tierra Atacama has also moved up, from One Key to Two. That means all eight Beckons lodges recognized in the MICHELIN Keys now hold either Two or Three Keys - representing an exceptional stay that is unique in every way, or the extraordinary kind of experience MICHELIN describes as a destination for the trip of a lifetime. Beckons Chief Executive Officer Michael Crawford said: “Having eight Beckons lodges recognized in the 2026 MICHELIN Key Hotels for two years running, and now seeing Southern Ocean Lodge counted among the world’s most extraordinary group of Three-Key properties, tells us this recognition reflects a shared standard across our standout lodges. We know MICHELIN’s anonymous inspectors look for a genuine sense of place, and that’s what our lodges are built around: small numbers of guests, teams with deep local knowledge, and landscapes that shape every part of the stay. The credit today sits entirely with our teams across four countries.” Congratulations to our lodge teams - a wonderful recognition of the people and places behind these extraordinary stays. #BeckonsJourneys

  • Huka Lodge in Taupō, New Zealand has been ranked No.82 on the extended 51-100 list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026, marking a second consecutive year of recognition for this Beckons property.   Set amongst 17 acres of parklike gardens on the banks of the Waikato River, Huka Lodge has welcomed guests since 1924. What began as a fishers' camp has grown into one of the world's most storied luxury retreats, known for its warmth, exceptional dining, and real sense of place. "For more than a century, Huka Lodge has offered guests a remarkable connection to the natural beauty of Taupō, delivered with the warmth, generosity and personal hospitality for which it is known," said Beckons CEO, Michael Crawford. "This recognition is a wonderful reflection of the passion and commitment of the Huka Lodge team." The World's 50 Best Hotels list is compiled by an Academy of more than 800 independent hospitality leaders, each selected for their expert view of the international hotel scene. Now in its fourth year, the program brings together hoteliers, media and luxury travelers from around the world at a celebration of hospitality, passion and talent.   Congratulations to the entire Huka Lodge team on this recognition.

We're delighted to share that the inaugural Tomorrow Beckons auction has raised an incredible AU$87,649. This result reflects the generosity of our guests, partners and friends who believe, as we do, in standing alongside the communities and environments that make our destinations so remarkable, and in helping them continue to thrive. Every dollar raised goes directly to our lodges' community partners, from funding vital marine research via Hayley the Hawksbill turtle on Lord Howe Island to providing hands-on education experiences for the local Atacameño students in the Atacama Desert and restoring river habitats with the Redd Fish Restoration Society on Vancouver Island. To everyone who took part in this first auction, thank you. This is just the beginning of what Tomorrow Beckons can achieve. Tomorrow Beckons. Learn more on our website: https://lnkd.in/eqs5t3t9

Today is an incredibly proud day for all of us at Beckons, as we launch Tomorrow Beckons – our global regenerative travel program uniting our lodges across Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Canada in one shared mission: to protect and regenerate the landscapes, wildlife and communities that make each destination extraordinary. Tomorrow Beckons is hyper-local by design. Every Beckons lodge partners with a dedicated community or environmental organization in its region, allowing guests to directly support meaningful local initiatives - from protecting endangered Australian sea lion pups on Kangaroo Island and restoring wild salmon habitat on Vancouver Island, to helping educate the next generation of Atacameño custodians in Chile's Atacama Desert. “Tomorrow Beckons is our commitment to ensuring that responsibility becomes part of who we are, not just something we aspire to. It formalizes what has always been in the hearts of our teams: leaving every place better than we found it,” Beckons Chief Executive Officer Michael Crawford said. “Our footprint may be more personal and intimate, but together our impact can be extraordinary. Through Tomorrow Beckons, we are standing alongside the communities, cultures, and natural environments that make every Beckons destination so special, helping ensure they continue to thrive for generations to come.” To mark the launch, we've opened our inaugural Tomorrow Beckons fundraising auction, offering three-night stays across any of our nine lodges, each paired with a bonus, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every dollar raised will go directly to our regional partners. The auction is now live and closes on Thursday 6 August at 11pm AEST. Tomorrow Beckons. Two Beckons properties, Southern Ocean Lodge and Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, have been named to Robb Report's 50 Greatest Luxury Hotels 2026, a "rarefied pantheon" of properties that transcend trends and embody a true commitment to excellence in luxury hospitality.   Compiled with insights from Robb Report's esteemed Travel Masters, specialists serving the world's most discerning travelers, the list highlights properties consistently endorsed for delivering exceptional, place-led experiences. Both lodges were endorsed by Jules Maury, Head of Scott Dunn Private, and one of this year's Travel Masters.   For Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, the recognition marks a return to form since its 2024 rebuild. The lodge's 25 suites sit low along the clifftop. Every room offers, as Maury puts it, "uninterrupted, sweeping views of the Southern Ocean," looking out over wild mallee bushland and the white sands of Hanson Bay, with not a dud room in the house.   At Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, this recognition speaks to its benchmark in barefoot luxury: a remote, deeply immersive nature experience on Vancouver Island where Waterfront Ensuite Tents line the banks of the Bedwell River, offering direct, unobstructed water views, "we would always aim for these for our Scott Dunn Private members," says Maury.   It's worth noting that this is only the second year the list has recognized remote lodges alongside heritage hotels and villa collections, a category shift Robb Report called out specifically in this year's introduction. Southern Ocean Lodge and Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge sit within that shift, alongside a small group of properties redefining what "luxury hotel" means to the publication's readers.

In exciting news, Beckons has announced plans for an ultra-luxury lodge at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa, the first approved new build for the portfolio since the brand's launch in March 2026. The intimate nine-suite retreat will be set low in the red dune landscape adjacent to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, with unrivaled views of Uluṟu from the restaurant, bar and lounge and from every guest suite; from the end of the bed, or from the cool sanctuary of a private plunge pool. Designed by Australia-based JAWS Architects and grounded in genuine First Nations cultural exchange, the lodge extends Beckons presence in the Red Center alongside the acclaimed Longitude 131°. "One of the world's most powerful and spiritually significant landscapes, Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa is an extraordinary place to deepen our presence in Australia and from which to grow our global footprint," said Beckons CEO Michael Crawford. "At Beckons, the most memorable journeys are created by a personal and genuine connection to place." Each suite will feature a commissioned work interpreting Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters), a significant Aṉangu Creation story told in the stars above the Central and Western Deserts, developed through ongoing partnerships with Ernabella Arts, Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Tjala Arts and the APY Art Centre Collective. The lodge is projected to open in early 2028. Read the full story at https://lnkd.in/gswuitRy Renders: VASTview

Four remarkable places. Five recognitions from Travel + Leisure Asia Luxury Awards 2026. Capella Lodge and Southern Ocean Lodge, named among Australia's Best Beach + Island Hotels. Silky Oaks Lodge and The Louise, honored as Best Country Hotels + Lodges. Southern Ocean Lodge, recognized for Best Hotel Spa. Capella Lodge, awarded Best Hotel Pool. These places earn their recognition quietly - through the precision of a single view, the care of the people who know them best, and landscapes that ask something of you in return. We are grateful to Travel + Leisure Asia, and to every guest who has let these destinations reveal themselves slowly.

Two landscapes. One recognition. Men's Health has named Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia among its 2026 Travel Award winners - acknowledged alongside the world's best adventures, recovery retreats, and places worth the journey. From the salt flats and volcanoes of the Atacama to the wind-scoured peaks of Patagonia, the Tierra properties have always asked something of the traveler. A willingness to go further. To let the landscape lead. It's gratifying to see that philosophy recognized. Congratulations to the remarkable teams at both lodges, whose care and knowledge make these destinations what they are. #BeckonsJourneys
