This morning, members of the Denver7 (KMGH-TV) team kicked off our 7 Days to Help End Hunger campaign with a volunteer shift at Food Bank of the Rockies. Together, we packed 595 produce bags filled with carrots, cucumbers and green peppers, helping provide fresh food to nearly 2,500 people facing food insecurity across Colorado. Last month, team members from Dollar General's Aurora Distribution Center donated $1,000 to Food Bank of the Rockies and volunteered their time to help package food bags for local families. In addition to volunteering, the distribution center and local Dollar General stores regularly donate products to support the food bank's mission. Since January 2026, Dollar General has contributed approximately 100,000 pounds of food to Food Bank of the Rockies through the Aurora Distribution Center and area DG stores. Though #HungerActionMonth is coming to a close, increasing access to nutritious food is a year-round commitment. Sometimes I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to truly 💙 where I work. Yesterday, I got to combine both sides of my roles at Lifetime Home Remodeling with some of my best HOA buddies from Keystone Pacific Property Management who came to the ballpark to celebrate our Strike Out Hunger initiative. ((I also totally fan-girled Ryan Serhant before he threw the first pitch ;)) This year we donated almost 100,000 meals for Coloradans in need. Last week, Reach Out and Read Colorado joined our partners at Food Bank of the Rockies for a mobile food pantry in North Denver. Reach Out and Read Colorado staff and Board Member Joe Nimmons were able to share more than 400 children’s books with local families, helping make sure children have books of their own to enjoy at home! We’re grateful to the Food Bank of the Rockies for creating opportunities to support families with all kinds of essential resources, including books. 📚

We came ready to sort food. We left having helped process 13,969 pounds of it! 🙌 Our Conexus volunteer crew spent the afternoon at Food Bank of the Rockies sorting donated food to be distributed to the community. Together, our shift worked through 25 pallets—the equivalent of 11,641 meals for our Colorado neighbors. It was busy, hands-on, and a lot of fun to do together.
