Happy #MajorInvestorMonday!   Meet Aron Willis, Executive Vice President, Electricity Segment at Ormat Technologies, Inc. He is an innovator, responsible for developing ways to improve plant performance, leveraging advanced AI tools, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.   Aron has spent more than 25 years in power generation – managing large operating fleets and developing and building new assets, he has held significant leadership assignments in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Aron earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary. His career has centered on sustainable energy, operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams. He and his family are proud to call Northern Nevada home. Outside of work, they enjoy golfing and the region's outdoor recreation. Patagonia runs its main distribution center right here in Reno, and this week Veronica Chavez, Danielle Randol, and Kimberly Yaeger from the Northern NV Now team got a firsthand look inside. The tour included a new repair facility and expanded Worn Wear operations, which give used gear a second life through trade-in and resale. Another exciting example of the continued growth taking place in Northern Nevada! Our Northern NV Now team recently toured the Future Form facility and saw firsthand the progress underway. As Future Form expands its footprint and workforce, the company is bringing new jobs, investment, and opportunities to our region. We’re excited to see this project advance and proud to be part of a community that continues to attract innovative companies and build a strong future for Northern Nevada.

Demand at Reno-Tahoe International Airport isn't slowing down this fall, and our airline partners are responding. Spring passenger traffic was up 4% year over year, and summer brought nearly 45,000 more roundtrip seats than the year before. This fall, airlines are adding 86,000 more roundtrip seats to our market than October through December last year. Four air service standouts for this fall: - Southwest Airlines launches new nonstop service to Nashville on Oct. 1, four days a week. - JSX expands its Las Vegas service to year-round daily nonstops starting in October, adding frequency and options on a route travelers already rely on. - JetBlue's seasonal New York route returns for winter with daytime departures rather than the previous red-eye. Additional seasonal timeframes continue into spring and summer 2027. - Sun Country extends seasonal Minneapolis-St. Paul service through November, providing more opportunities for travel to the Twin Cities. Route growth like this takes years of relationship building, and our air service development team is in constant conversation with airline network planners to make the case for our market. Earlier this week, our President & CEO, Taylor Adams, had the opportunity to represent Northern Nevada alongside Mike Larragueta of Visit Reno Tahoe and Cris Jensen A.A.E. of Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority on a panel of statewide leaders in Washington D.C. It was a great chance to talk about topics ranging from federal policy and land availability to attainable housing and artificial intelligence, and how those issues affect our economy here in Northern Nevada. Advocacy and collaboration at every level help sustain success and long-term economic vitality for our region.
