    Hello,

I’m writing because the Template Categories management page has disappeared after a recent Elementor update and I can no longer access it.

Previously, I was able to manage my saved template categories via this URL:
    /wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=elementor_library_category&post_type=elementor_library

This page is now either returning an error or no longer accessible. The “Categories” item that used to appear under the Templates menu in the WP Admin sidebar is also gone.

    Specifically, I need to know:

    1. Was the Template Categories feature intentionally removed?
    2. Is there a new way to organize saved templates into categories?
    3. If the feature was removed, is there a planned replacement or workaround?

I rely on template categories to organize a large number of saved templates across multiple projects. Without this feature, managing templates in the admin library has become very difficult.

Please advise on how to proceed.

    Thank you

    Hi there,

With the new Elementor UI, you should be able to see the categorized Saved Templates from your WordPress dashboard > Elementor > Editor > Saved Templates: https://www.loom.com/i/a09bc5cf5a4544de85ebe110d7dc9907

You can view the documentation here showing the rest of the new look of the UI updates: https://developers.elementor.com/elementor-editor-3-34-2-developers-update/

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

My question is specifically about the filter option, as it helps with navigation since I have up to 200 templates. If all of them are grouped under the Sections and Containers tab, how can I efficiently sort or filter sections that belong to Page “X” versus those for Page “Y”, Page “Z” , Global etc.? same with the containers. Or that function will be removed for now?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Elementor’s technical support,

I’m afraid that there is no way to filter your templates this way. You can filter them by date or use the user filter feature, which shows all types of templates on your site (header, footer, single-page template, etc.).

However, I have added this idea to our internal list as a Feature Request so that it might appear in a future Elementor update. Thank you for your feedback!

There might be third-party plugins available that have such a feature so you can join our Elementor Facebook Group and check with our users there for such a plugin recommendation.

Finally, I would like to apologize for not being able to provide this particular solution at the moment. I hope for your understanding.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us again by opening a new ticket.

I wish you all the best, and have a great day!
