You can’t secure what you can’t see, and that’s especially true for AI: https://bit.ly/41EozI5 via CIO Online Before you set policies or governance, get full visibility into your AI environment: 👀 Observe AI interactions in normal traffic flows 🔎 Detect models and infrastructure running out of band 💥 Benchmark risk, define guardrails, and monitor usage over time AI can speed up productivity, but without visibility, it speeds up risk.

The recent “Claude Mythos” model is a reminder of what happens when frontier models can discover and exploit vulnerabilities at machine speed. Threat actors aren’t just writing better phishing emails; they’re industrializing the entire attack lifecycle. ☁️🏦 Modern banking requires security that moves at the speed of the cloud. Paul Siy and his team at BDO Unibank, a leader in Filipino financial services, traded legacy controls for the Zscaler Zero Trust platform to reduce the IT burden. By shifting to identity-driven security, all 1,700 branches now enjoy a rapid, seamless experience. Paul and his team have enabled secure growth at scale while shrinking the bank's attack surface. Check out the full story to learn more about how Paul and his team made it happen! https://bit.ly/4tjpPN2

Zscaler ThreatLabz has observed a wave of ransomware attacks that share similar TTPs with prior BlackBasta initial access brokers ➡ https://bit.ly/4tQakvN These attacks start with spam bombing followed by vishing via Microsoft Teams and Quick Assist to deploy malware. ThreatLabz has linked these attacks to a relatively unknown ransomware group called Payouts King. Check out our technical analysis of Payouts King ransomware including the file encryption methods (4,096-bit RSA + 256-bit AES CTR) and techniques to evade malware sandboxes, antivirus and EDR detection.

🤨 Are your defenses ready for an agentic attack? Attackers are now leveraging AI to automate everything from recon and phishing to lateral movement. Since these AI-enhanced attacks can easily bypass traditional signatures, a new strategy is required. Zscaler’s Ian Curtis explains how Zscaler AI Active Defense utilizes deception technology to stop attackers in their tracks. By deploying dynamic decoys, we expose their intent before they can do any damage. 📺 Watch the full video for the insights you need to stay ahead: https://bit.ly/4cQYVoT

AI is fundamentally rewriting the rules of cybersecurity, and Zscaler is leading the charge. Today, I am proud to announce that Zscaler is partnering with OpenAI as a participant in its Trusted Access for Cyber (TAC) program, which provides us access to advanced AI capabilities to improve security outcomes for our customers. Zscaler’s Zero Trust architecture makes critical applications completely invisible to the internet, making it difficult for attackers to strike what they can’t find. By combining this impenetrable foundation with OpenAI’s frontier models, we are driving the next era of cyber defense. Here is how we are aggressively putting some of the world's most advanced AI to work: 1) Fortifying the Zero Trust Exchange - We will be integrating GPT 5.4-Cyber and Codex Security directly into our secure Software Development Lifecycle. This enables our development teams to instantly detect vulnerabilities and neutralize threat exposures at unprecedented speeds. 2) Advancing AI Red Teaming - To help customers safely deploy AI, we are harnessing OpenAI models to simulate real-world attacks on AI systems and identify weaknesses before adversaries do. Our solution goes beyond merely exposing vulnerabilities; it delivers instant remediation by automatically strengthening the security configuration of AI applications. 3) Transforming SecOps - Our Red Canary MDR service now deploys OpenAI-powered agents alongside our human analysts. By eliminating tedious context-gathering, we deliver faster, more consistent investigations while firmly maintaining the 99.6% true-positive rate our customers depend on.
