    Founder of Theme Surgeons and GEMServers Hosting. I focus on how to make WordPress sites lightning fast, functionally superior, and master’s of self-defense using Google open source projects like Polymer, Puppeteer, and Headless Chrome atop Google Cloud Platform. I love helping business owners, educators, and non-profit organizations succeed. Avid reader and researcher, and nature lover.

    Interests

    Making WordPress and other CMS technologies fast, secure, and functionally superior. Decoupling WordPress and using modern JavaScript platforms like Polymer and lit-html to build progressive web applications atop RESTful APIs, Headless Chrome, and Google Cloud Platform. I don’t follow the herd. I’m most comfortable working on lesser known but remarkable open source projects in a smart, diverse community.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I first started using WordPress in 2004 and immediately started hacking on themes and plugins. Later, while working for a small college IT&S department, I introduced WordPress as one of the first intranet based blogging systems allowing teachers and students to collaborate on campus. I started Theme Surgeons and GEMServers Hosting in 2012.
