メリアン・C・クーパー（Merian C. Cooper、1893年10月24日 - 1973年4月21日）は、アメリカ合衆国の映画監督、映画プロデューサー、軍人である。
経歴
[編集]1893年10月24日、フロリダ州ジャクソンヴィルに生まれる[4]。軍人として、第一次世界大戦やポーランド・ソビエト戦争、第二次世界大戦に参加した[5]。
1933年、アーネスト・B・シュードサックと組んで『キングコング』を監督する[6]。同年、ミュージカル映画『空中レヴュー時代』を製作する[7]。1947年、ジョン・フォードと共にアーゴシー・ピクチャーズを設立[6]。同社ではフォードの監督映画を数多く製作した[6]。
