I was feeling increasingly ill on Christmas Day 2020 & used this app for a consult with Dr. Andrea Franks. I believe I had about a 15-minute wait to speak with her. I liked that she was an internal medicine doctor but there were many other doctors listed. I felt so awful I could barely think straight but the app was still easy. Best money I ever spent. Dr. Franks was great, listened carefully, asked questions and then said, “I think you know what I’m going to say, you need to head for the hospital.” She talked to me about where I should go & how I should sit as far away from my husband as possible on the drive over.I was admitted to St. Joe’s North in Lutz an hour later with you guessed it, COVID-19. My case was caught in time because I listened to her and sought treatment. Four days later I was released & am healing slowly. You cannot be too careful with this virus. I believed I was doing an excellent job in distancing, hygiene, masking & avoided crowds, groups and parties. If you think you are ill, please use this app & get yourself the care you need. I cannot state strongly enough that the ease of getting immediate medical advice helped save my life.

This is my first virtual physician experience. Some advice- just wait in line. I agreed a couple of times to get a provider that could “see me sooner”. Each time you have to complete the symptoms, current location, current medications.... and you are just put back in queue with a provider having the same number of patients waiting. For the IT guys- put a radio button in for current location is same as home address! Ugh! Or better yet, don’t make us retype everything to get in line for a different provider! The physician was great! And it was easy to use.

Worst mistake! Don’t use this service! I spent $45 to talk to talk to a physician about a developing sinus I He literally spent 3 min with me, rattle off some over the counter meds that I didn’t even get a chance to right down. I asked about antibiotics, although it’s been few years I’ve had a sinus infection before, and he said it was necessary. He ended the session before I could get him to repeat the OTC he recommended and had the nerve to say “patient was upset”. It’s a Saturday and my doctors office is closed and couldn’t get an appointment on Friday and I’m sick! $45 for less than 5 minutes is a pretty good scam you running. So unless a real doctor wants to contact me ASAP and prescribe what I need I will continue the negative comments by word of mouth and through social media that this service is a rip off and is taking advantage of people that are sick! I would give a 0 but that’s not an option.

Think twice before you use this app!I have been fighting a pretty bad cold for 2 weeks. My sister (a nurse) recommended I try Baycare. Setup was easy and I was talking to a doctor in under 20 minutes. So far so good...I met with Dr. Ljubomir Ilic. He took a personal call while on the line w me which was a little weird but fine this stuff happens. He seemed to think my issue was a pretty cut and dry case of the cold. He prescribed two different types of inhalers and said he’d send the script to my pharmacy (already provided in the app). This was at 9am. When I told my sister about the inhalers she said she thought that was a weird choice for a cold (especially since I have no nasal congestion, just a sore throat), but again said that it was probably fine. Well an hour later (10am) I head to my pharmacy and they say they have not received the script from the app/ doctor even though I was sent a receipt in app (with the right medicine and right pharmacy listed). The pharmacy says I should call back in a bit. Now it’s 2pm and the pharmacy still hasn’t received the script and I am out $60 from the app (what I paid for the appt). Worst part is Baycare customer service only operates limited hours during the week and today is Saturday. So I can’t even call to figure out what happened until Monday. And the app won’t let me re-review my experience - after I saw the doctor it forced me to pick a rating of him and the experience before I could move on .... this is total crap design given that the experience isn’t complete until I get the medicine prescribed. Honestly this feels like a huge scam. I won’t be using this app again and I’ll make sure others know the experience I had.
