Spanish teacher and anarchist. Her family came from Almería, but immigrated to Barcelona, and was linked to liberal values. Her father was arrested and imprisoned in the military prison La Mola (Menorca). The whole family returned to Spain in 1931, after being exiled in France, settling in Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the neighborhood of La Torrassa. She worked in that district's school, which followed the pedagogical values of Ferrer i Guardia. At the same time, she worked as dressmaker. An activist in the CNT, she was spokesperson in the Sindicato de Artes Gráficas, the graphic arts union, in Barcelona, and joined the group "Amor y Voluntad", meaning love and will. Igualdad and her sisters developed an important pedagogic labor in that school, as they were including what they had learned in France. In the Escuela Moderna of Torrassa, and its gardens with fruit trees, she used to organize a school garden. The school wanted to remain neutral and independent of any anarchist union and did not take any grant or subsidy. However, they joined the Federación de Escuelas de Cataluña and became a member of the Consejo de la Escuela Nueva Unida (CENU). In January 1939, the whole family ran away to France. Igualdad and her partner, Severino Campos, went to the Domincan Republic, later to Panama, and ended up un Mexico, with their son Helenio. In 1975, the family went to Catalonia, but lived both in Barcelona and Mexico sporadiclly.
