Piotr Karwatka udostępnił(a) to🤩 The biggest Open Mercato release so far with 300+ Pull Requests merged and about 50+ active contributors (within this single release). Open Mercato 0.5.0 is the biggest release so far. It bundles more than 250 fixes and improvements delivered after the Hackathon in Sopot, alongside several major and important dependency upgrades across the platform. - Improved MS Windows support, - Improved overall developer's experience, - New fixes and specs! Check it out!

Piotr Karwatka udostępnił(a) toQA, UX, Scrum Masters - those folks are irreplaceable by AI, if they're gonna go full-AI first! Alina Drozd, Oliwia Zielinska - our QA and UX masters at Open Mercato are definitely paving the way. The way you should go if you're in software development too. Oliwia - just won the Open Mercato hackathon by the Design System she made, but moreover, she started with ... shell scripts for the audits, then code-based DS which is synced with Figma, and AI skills for reviewing all new PR's Alina - is using AI extensively for automating her job, BUT her job is actually irreplaceable as the for AI - finding the deep-level discrepancies and business-issues in the processes is still just a far cry... To the level, we're fixing the issues quicker with the `auto-fix-github-issue` skill we have for AI, than Alina is raising new ones! THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK 🦾 🙏 This is absolutely awesome. Don't be afraid of AI. Go 100%. ps. The new release is coming, 287 Pull Requests merged, automatic CI all green, manual tests - confirms it works just fine. What a hackathon it was! Brace for amazing release, soon. Very soon :-)

Piotr Karwatka udostępnił(a) to100%Piotr Karwatka udostępnił(a) toIf your job happens in front of a computer most of the time, not only as a developer but also as a project manager, marketer, sales rep, CEO, whatever: go all in on AI agents. I'm not a big fan of unsolicited advice. But let's make an exception here. The future of work will be automated. The earlier you get this, the more time you have to prepare. Being ignorant or skeptical will not help your career. No matter what your employer is doing, and even if you're not officially allowed to use AI at work. Don't let this hold you back! You probably already pay good money for Spotify, Netflix, whatever. It's time to do the same with AI Agents. Get your own private Claude Cowork/Code or Codex license. We're talking below €100 per month. That's a pretty cheap investment in your career. And then start experimenting. Try to do your actual work with agents, faster and better. (Just don't use your private account with your employer's data.) One important shift: don't just give instructions. The trick is to start a dialogue. Instead of "do this," try "I want to achieve this. Let's discuss how." You can use it for performing tasks, but also for learning, discovery, brainstorming. Anything you do on a computer, start doing it with an agent. Just. Do. It. --- If you want some more thoughts on this, you can have a look into my slides: https://lnkd.in/d2zvNgAr (use arrow keys to move)

When we think of data applications, it’s easy to focus only on functionality, but what if we could merge analytical power with design that truly engages users? Learning to build Shiny apps with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript isn’t just about adding polish; it’s about reimagining how data stories are told and experienced. This course is designed to spark that shift in perspective: to see Shiny not as a static reporting tool, but as a canvas where interactivity, aesthetics, and insight come together to create something that resonates. 🌍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗧: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱 As technology leaders, we often talk about speed, scalability, and innovation. But there’s another “S” we need to prioritize: sustainability. At 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁, where our teams of Polish software engineers help global clients build the future, we’ve seen firsthand how IT can be both a driver of progress and a significant consumer of energy and resources. This is why the rise of 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗧 matters — not as a buzzword, but as a responsibility. Green IT is about more than energy-efficient servers or paperless offices. It’s a mindset — designing, coding, and deploying technology that minimizes waste, optimizes performance, and contributes to a cleaner planet. When we develop smarter systems, we can: ✅ Reduce energy consumption through optimized software and cloud solutions ✅ Support clients in adopting sustainable architectures and scalable infrastructure ✅ Use AI and automation to improve efficiency and cut unnecessary resource use ✅ Extend the lifecycle of hardware through responsible procurement and recycling Poland’s tech community has a tremendous opportunity here. With our engineering talent, we can lead the shift toward sustainable innovation — building solutions that are not only powerful, but purposeful. Because the future of IT isn’t just faster. Finally had the time to polish and submit my patch series adding support for building Snagboot in Buildroot: https://lnkd.in/e72sZezD Snagboot is an open-source project launched by Bootlin 2 years ago to offer an open-source and platform-agnostic tool that allows to recover and reflash embedded platforms. It aims at replacing the countless vendor-specific and often proprietary tools offered by silicon vendors to use the USB or UART-based recovery protocols implemented by many system-on-chip ROM code. My colleague Romain Gantois has been doing a great job at creating, developing, improving and maintaining this project, which now supports NXP Semiconductors i.MX platforms, several Texas Instruments platforms, Microchip Technology Inc. platforms, STMicroelectronics platforms, Xilinx ZynqMP, Allwinner Technology platforms, and more are coming soon! It was time for Buildroot to have support for building/installing Snagboot out of the box, allowing Buildroot users to be ready to reflash their targets after they complete their build. Looking forward to seeing the review comments from Buildroot community!

Most Magento merchants still think Hyvä migration must be “all-or-nothing”. That’s not true. At Meet Magento Poland, I realized something surprising: 👉 Many merchants and even agencies don’t know that Hyvä theme can be rolled out page by page, not as one huge, expensive, long-running project. The reality: You don’t need to migrate the entire Magento store at once to start getting value from Hyvä. Thanks to Hyvä’s Luma fallback, you can: 1️⃣ migrate only the homepage first 2️⃣ then roll out Hyvä by page type, based on priority, for example: - product pages - checkout - category pages - CMS pages - account area, cart, etc. Why this approach is powerful: ✔️ Immediate ROI - performance, CRO & SEO benefits start from day one ✔️ Lower risk - no “big bang” launch ✔️ Flexible budgets - spread investment over time ✔️ Business-driven prioritization - migrate what impacts revenue first Such an approach has already been successfully used on many Magento stores. In practice, it’s usually done per page type, not per single page, which makes it even more efficient. Yet this approach is still massively undercommunicated in the Magento ecosystem. If you’re running Magento and: ✔️ want Hyvä performance without waiting months ✔️ want to improve conversion rate and SEO results step by step ✔️ want a migration strategy aligned with business impact, not just tech …then Hyvä doesn’t have to be a “one big leap” project. Happy to share real-world insights, pitfalls, and how to structure this correctly - feel free to comment or DM. #Magento #Hyva #HyvaTheme #MagentoPerformance #MagentoCRO #EcommerceGrowth #MeetMagento #ThoughtLeadership #MagentoAgency

Mjko GmbH, one of the top four German mushroom producers, has posted a series of videos on Facebook and TikTok to recruit mushroom harvesters from Poland and Romania. These videos feature the MycoSense AI Spotlight prominently, which is a great idea as it reassures candidates that modern tools are in place to help them get trained rapidly, and perform well. Yesterday under my post 🤟 Kamil Kiełbasa mentioned Vertical Slices Architecture. So let's take a closer look into it. You need to change a single field in a feature. How many files do you have to touch? An api endpoint, a service, a repository, a DTO, maybe more? That's a lot of jumping around. 😫 This is a classic symptom of organizing code by technical layers. There is a better way. Vertical Slice Architecture (VSA) flips the traditional layered approach on its head. Instead of grouping related files by what they *are* (e.g., "all controllers here"), you group them by what they *do*. Everything needed for a single feature, the API endpoint, the business logic, the data access, lives in one place. A single "slice." Your folder structure becomes a map of your application's features. With that approach you are getting: * High Cohesion: Code that changes together, lives together. * Low Coupling: Slices are independent. Changing one feature is far less likely to break another. * Faster Development: Less context switching and file navigation. You can focus on the feature at hand. It's a more direct and intuitive way to build and maintain applications. ⚡ Have you tried Vertical Slice Architecture? What was the biggest benefit you noticed? 👇 #DotNet #CSharp #SoftwareArchitecture #WebApi #VerticalSliceArchitecture

Performance Upgrade in RedmineX Resources: Faster Loading & Smoother Rendering. We’ve just rolled out a major optimization for project resource management in RedmineX Resources, making planning easier and much faster. The challenge for large organizations with hundreds of projects and users, resource planning screens could take too long to load — slowing down daily operations. The Solution --> Smart Data Loading – Removed redundant database calls with intelligent batch processing. --> Workload-Based Filtering – Load only data for users who actually have tasks assigned --> Future Task Control – Focus on the relevant timeframe, skipping unnecessary rendering of distant future tasks The Impact --> Up to 30% shorter loading times (varies with data volume) --> Smarter time filtering that keeps focus on what matters most: the present workload --> With this improvement, RedmineX Resources is now faster, smarter, and more efficient — empowering teams to plan with ease. https://lnkd.in/ebWsFwsz

GPT-5-Codex: how artificial intelligence supports developers in their daily work Hello! Artificial intelligence is just stepping up to a whole new level – and I'm not just talking about the fairy-tale examples from presentations, but real implementations in Polish and international development teams. If you're interested in how GPT-5-Codex is actually setting the pace for modern software development (and why I'm hearing "this can't be done this week" less and less often), this post should be for you. The key to success? GPT-5-Codex is not just another "line suggestion machine", but an agent that understands the entire project, grasps the documentation, automatically generates tests, catches security gaps, and even ensures that your integration processes are on track. I've used this model myself many times when migrating frameworks or speeding up tedious repetitive tasks that would normally take me a lot of time. The effect? When working with a team, we gain several hours (sometimes days!) of advantage without sacrificing quality. The model will work whether you need to carry out a large technology project or when you need to quickly automate business workflows (make.com and n8n – it works!). It stands out for: - analyzing the context of entire repositories, - automatic refactoring and test generation, - adapting code to the team's conventions, - integration even with your favorite IDE. Of course, there's no rose without thorns – every automation requires a watchful eye, and for unusual integrations, I still sometimes have to "get my hands dirty". Nevertheless, this technology allows even medium-sized companies to shift into higher gear. If you want to learn more or check out my detailed analysis and practical examples – you're welcome to visit my blog marketing-ekspercki.pl! 🔥 Most AI implementations fail within 6 months. Here's why — and what we're doing about it. After years of watching Czech SMEs throw money at AI tools only to abandon them, we finally understand the problem: They're treating AI as a tool, not as a transformation. Today, we're releasing something different: The FORGE CREATIVE Method — a proven framework for becoming truly AI-native, not just AI-enabled. What's the difference? AI-Enabled: ✗ Buying the latest AI tools ✗ Expecting instant productivity gains ✗ Technology-first approach ✗ Quick wins that don't last AI-Native: ✓ Partnering with AI as a capability ✓ Transforming how your business works ✓ People-first, sustained change ✓ Building competitive advantage that lasts Why this matters now: Your competitors are making the same mistakes you're tempted to make. They're buying tools. They're chasing automation. They're getting frustrated when ROI never materializes. But you can do something different. Our 5-phase method (Qualification → Discovery → Design → Implementation → Optimization) takes 6 months. Not 6 days. Not 6 weeks. Because transformation doesn't happen quickly. It happens correctly. Here's our promise: We won't take your money if you're not ready. We use a 28-question assessment to determine if AI transformation makes sense for your business right now. We work with you, not for you. Partnership, not service. We're based in Nový Bor. We understand Czech business reality. We speak your language (literally and figuratively). Who is this for? Dev teams often mistake surface polish for strategic clarity. A sleek UI might win design awards, but if it’s built on shaky assumptions, it’s just an expensive mirage. If your idea is going to support real users, scale with your business, and withstand inevitable pivots, it needs more than aesthetics. It needs structure. It needs a blueprint. If a project kicks off without a validated plan that accounts for business goals, user needs, tech constraints, and delivery realities, things can go sideways fast. A presentation slide is made to sell an idea. A blueprint is made to build it. ❌ Slides don’t clarify scope. ❌ They don’t define trade-offs. ❌ They don’t align delivery teams with decision-makers. A blueprint does all of that and ensures that every hour spent building moves you toward something that works, lasts, and supports the business. At Mavric, we believe innovation should serve your business, not the other way around. Our role is to bring strategic thinking and technical expertise to your vision, staying grounded in your goals every step of the way. Strategy beats sizzle in every successful software build. Build it right, or don’t build it at all. Are you building from a blueprint or a pitch deck? #productstrategy #softwaredevelopment #digitaltransformation #buildbetter

I'll elaborate a bit about the processes in motion and why i think the public market will change beyond recognition in the next few years. Mostly software, highly automatable processes that are today controlled by companies will loose profit margins and will find it impossible to charge users for services on the process of becoming cost + 0 The effective cost of starting, and running a new business is in the process of being massively reduced hence the venture capital eco system is going to be all but gone The public markets will stop being a relatively easy way for raising money, and making money for these companies, hence VC industry will become even less lucrative, and the model will dramatically change - or die As most VCs horizon is 10 years - i wouldn't bind my future with that industry in any way Services will become cost + 0 as because anything that can be automated - will be automated. And likely someone someone will develop the service for cost, using other services for cost. Costs will keep on reducing as demand will rise (think of LLM token prices) So if software services are provided at cost + 0, there's nothing to compete about. Nothing to disrupt. and they keep getting better b/c LLMs keep getting better. so who wants to start a company and compete with zero profit margins? there are no profits, so zero justification for public companies valuations, or multipliers. or to buy their stocks - because there will never be dividends, or any way to get your money back... Do you hear me Dave? Dave? Dave?....

Being a software developer has its perks This Chanukah, I was reminded of one of them. With some dev experience and today’s AI tools, it’s possible to spin up something small, quickly, just for fun. Not for scale. Not for polish. Just to enhance a moment at home. That’s how Wheel of Torah came about. It wasn’t fancy. Not polished. Definitely not bug-proof. But it ended up creating something really special for us. We played with real money, actual Chanukah gelt. This was how we did our Chanukah gelt giving this year, and it made the whole tradition feel more alive and fun. We spun the wheel, solved puzzles, and every spin counted. We even set a respectable house minimum so no one walked away empty-handed, which somehow made it feel even more exciting and a lot more fair. The puzzles themselves weren’t just “guess the phrase.” They were short statements with meaning, values, and depth, ideas you naturally end up talking about, not just solving and moving on. That double benefit surprised me, real engagement and fun for the kids, and moments of reflection that stayed with everyone in the room. I’m very aware the design isn’t tip-top shape, and it wouldn’t survive a serious QA process. But it did exactly what it needed to do. It brought new meaning to in-house software, software made for the house itself, built for home and connection. This is one of the underrated perks of being a developer today. You can spin up something small, quickly, and use it to enhance real moments with family, moments that actually matter. If you’re curious, you can try it here: https://lnkd.in/g5-Kvtbe And if it sparks an idea for something you’d like to build, even if it’s a little rough around the edges, that’s kind of the whole point.
