About us

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind. You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.

Over 100,000 customers are running Claude on Amazon Bedrock — accelerating drug discovery, transforming customer service, and reimagining how software gets built. Giving customers access to the best AI models, built and served on world-class infrastructure, is exactly what Amazon and Anthropic have been building toward together. Today, Anthropic is committing more than $100 billion to Amazon Web Services (AWS) over the next decade — securing up to 5 gigawatts of capacity across Trainium2, Trainium3, Trainium4, and future generations of our custom silicon to train and power Claude. And we're bringing Claude Platform directly into AWS so customers can access it through their existing account, no extra credentials or contracts needed. We love what we're building with Anthropic — and the customers we're building it for are just getting started. https://lnkd.in/eqURNc_W

BREAKING: Amazon is acquiring Globalstar to bring direct-to-device (D2D) satellite connectivity to Amazon Leo, and has signed an agreement with Apple to power satellite services for supported iPhone and Apple Watch models. We’ll begin launching Leo D2D services in 2028, ensuring your phone will stay connected even when you're outside of cellular range. The next-gen system will also mean faster speeds, better performance, and seamless integration with our Leo broadband constellation, and will power satellite services for supported iPhone and Apple Watch models, allowing users to text emergency services, message friends and family, request roadside assistance, and more. “There are billions of customers out there living, traveling, and operating in places beyond the reach of existing networks, and we started Amazon Leo to help bridge that divide,” said Panos Panay, Senior Vice President of Devices & Services, Amazon. “By combining Globalstar’s proven expertise and strong foundation with Amazon’s customer-obsession and innovation, customers can expect faster, more reliable service in more places—keeping them connected to the people and things that matter most. We’re excited to support Apple users through the Leo D2D system, and look forward to working with mobile network partners to help extend coverage to every corner of the planet.” Keeping customers connected no matter where in the world they are.

This is what it looks like when someone truly loves their work. ✈️ David Carbon, Amazon's VP of Prime Air, gave us a rare look inside the Prime Air drone lab, where the team is building and testing the technology that powers drone delivery. From testing chambers to flight simulation, this is where the future of delivery gets made. His enthusiasm says it all.

✨ Some ideas just cannot wait for a reply. ✨ At Amazon, some of the best collaboration happens in the moments between meetings. A quick question, a spontaneous brainstorm, or the occasional desk drive-by can spark ideas that no email thread could. We are committed to building a workplace where people can connect, collaborate, and do their best work together. 📹 Brooke Moody

Amazon Leo is bringing more high-speed Wi-Fi to Delta Air Lines customers. ✈️ Starting in 2028, Delta will introduce our satellite technology with an initial installation on 500 aircraft, delivering fast speeds and low latency at 35,000 feet in the air. Amazon Leo's constellation sits at just 370 miles up in low Earth orbit, cutting signal travel time and enabling consistent connectivity everywhere from takeoff to landing.
