Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıAnother year closed. What mattered most was not the noise, but the work. Showing up, making calls, staying patient, backing people who build with intent. Proud of what my team and founders at 212 put together. Onward 🐉Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıAs another year comes to an end, we take a moment to reflect on what we built together at 212. 🐉 We hope you enjoyed the AI-generated dragon in our video, a small nod to the dragons we support and the ones we will continue to discover. 👀 2025 marked a defining year for 212. In November, we completed the fifth close of our fund, backed by a highly committed LP base, 60% returning investors, alongside corporates, HNWIs, exited founders, and DFIs. We also expanded our team and platform with new hires, Venture Fellows, and Venture Partners. Guided by our Test Local, Go Global strategy, we remained focused on identifying and backing the next generation of globally ambitious dragons from the region. 🇹🇷 🌏 By year-end, we reached €300M+ in AUM, completed 10 new investments, and scaled a portfolio of 55 companies with a combined value of €3.4B. During the year, we continued to build across our funds, adding PhilosopherKing, Runy, Freya (YC S25), and Qrambo to the 212 portfolio; reprai, Eluvium, and Surveill to Simya VC; and EverDye and Aibuild to 212 NexT. The portfolio delivered consistent ARR progress, driven by strong go-to-market execution and scalable business models. 5 companies surpassed $20M+ ARR and a further 5 exceeded $10M+ ARR, reinforcing our long-term value creation thesis. 📈 None of this would have been possible without our team working tirelessly behind the scenes, our investors who trusted and supported us every step of the way, and our talented founders who keep raising the bar with their ambition and execution - thank you! 🫂 Watch our 2025 recap to see the highlights up close. ⬇️

Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıGlobal payments just evolved. SWIFT now settles directly into digital dollars. Keyrails’ COBOSWIFT routes SWIFT transfers straight into USDC/USDT wallets, cutting out banks, delays, and hidden fees. An evolutionary shift in cross-border trade.Ali Karabey bunu paylaştı🚀 The Future of #SWIFT Collections Is Here 🌍💱 In the coming weeks, we’re releasing a revolutionary new product that will completely change how companies collect funds via SWIFT. Since launching #Keyrails, the #1 request we’ve heard from #merchants and #fintechs — especially across #emergingmarkets — has been: “We need SWIFT-enabled named USD virtual accounts to collect high-value payments from international customers.” 🛑 The problem? Finding a bank willing to enable this — without months of compliance hurdles — has been nearly impossible, especially for businesses in emerging markets. ✅ We’ve solved it. But we’re not just offering another “SWIFT-enabled USD account.” We’re making that entire concept obsolete. 💡 Introducing #COBO via SWIFT Rails — Collection On Behalf Of via SWIFT Instead of funds landing in a traditional USD bank account, a SWIFT MT103 is sent to a beneficiary's name and directly settles into their self-custodial #USDC / #USDT wallet at Keyrails. No intermediary bank account. No begging for USD clearing. How it works: 1️⃣ #Keyrails is now an official SWIFT Receiving Bank with our own #BIC: KEYRCA62 2️⃣ Through our forward-thinking correspondent partners, incoming SWIFT messages are routed into our Tokenization Engine 3️⃣ USD is automatically converted into USDC/T and credited to the beneficiary’s wallet — skipping the ultimate beneficiary bank account entirely Why this matters: 💨 Collect via SWIFT from anywhere in the world — no named USD bank account needed 💵 Skip delays, rejections, and hidden fees from legacy banks 🔒 Self-custody, programmable funds, and immediate use for payments or yield This is a complete rewiring of international collections — and one of the most powerful real-world use cases for #stablecoin infrastructure. 📩 If your business wants to be part of the future of #crossborderfinance and #crossborderpayments, my DMs are open. 🌟 Up and to the right! 🚀

Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıWe’ve seen this movie before. Keyrails is doing to cross-border payments what VoIP did to telecom: • Compressing costs to near-zero • Shrinking settlement times from days to hours • Bypassing legacy intermediaries In both cases, the technology was ready before the system was. The market didn’t shift overnight. But when it did, it became irreversible. The same shift is underway now. Stablecoins are the VoIP of cross-border value transfer.Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıToday we are releasing our “Multi-Currency #POBO #SWIFT gpi” in 🇺🇸 USD 🇪🇺 EUR 🇬🇧 GBP 🇨🇭CHF 🇨🇳 CNY 🇸🇬 SGD 🇭🇰 HKD 🇯🇵 JPY 🇦🇺 AUD 🇳🇿 NZD on both our API and Platform with live, #programmatic #FX execution. Using #POBO #SWIFT, aka Payment On Behalf Of SWIFT, Keyrails customizes the 🌐 SWIFT MT103 message and puts the Originating Merchant to the sender field of the message. The beneficiary will see the Sending Merchant as the actual Sender of the transaction. This is of extreme importance in high value international trade transactions where the Proof of Payment must match the rest of the documentation for the trade (invoice, bill of lading etc.) as well as for correspondent banks to understand the context of a several million dollar trade transaction faster. 🧨 With the release of our flagship product #Stable #OS last month we significantly improved our high value SWIFT payment settlement times (down to mere hours now) instructed directly from self custodial #stablecoin wallets as well as dropped our RFI rates below 1%. We also slashed our transaction fees by 40%. Now we are expanding Stable OS to 10 more currencies on the POBO SWIFT payout rails with the same settlement metrics and lowest possible FX spreads via global interbanking rates. This is a significant step to cover the key export jurisdictions such as China, Hong Kong, EU etc. in their local currencies with automated FX operations. 🔥 Stay tuned for more strategic releases over the next 6-8 weeks as Stable OS is rapidly becoming the next gen underlying operating system of international trade. DMs are open if you’re interested to know more.

Ali Karabey bunu paylaştı🚀 Great news from the extended 212 ecosystem! Thrilled to see Werover close a $1.7M funding round to scale their AI-powered wind turbine monitoring tech globally. As one of Simya VC’s earliest investments, it’s incredibly rewarding to see this partnership bear fruit. Even better when it’s a round led by friends and allies: Kerim Kotan, Founder One, Yalin Karadogan, and of course our partners at Alchemist Doha. Werover, founded in Türkiye and now headquartered in London, is proving how deeptech from our region can scale globally. Their Windrover tech is already live on 400+ turbines across Europe, helping cut blade repair costs by up to 50% through predictive AI. Kudos to founders Balca Yılmaz, Caglar Erat, and new co-founder Molka Rais — keep pushing the frontier of cleantech innovation. Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıHuge congrats to Berhan Kongel and the Keyrails team on launching Stable OS - a platform we believe could become foundational for how fintechs and merchants in emerging markets access the global financial system. 🌍 Most fintechs outside the G7 struggle with basic access to global accounts, yield tools, and trade infrastructure. Stable OS levels that playing field. 💱 It combines the stability of fiat rails with the programmability of stablecoins in a way that’s compliant, risk-optimized, and ready to go on Day 1. This is infrastructure with leverage, built for markets where the need is greatest. Onward and upward! 🚀Ali Karabey bunu paylaştıToday, we are releasing our most advanced product upgrade “Stable OS” on both our API and Platform. Stable OS, short for #stablecoin #operating #system, is #not a cross-border stablecoin sandwich infrastructure. It is a complete re-imagination of how a fintech and their merchants, regardless of their location, engage with the global market by providing access to a financial toolset previously unavailable to them. Stable OS is the first infrastructure of its kind, optimized for emerging markets, that natively blends 🌐 Programmable Payments, 📈 Yield Generation, 🏢 Treasury Management and 📃 Trade Financing in a way that is impossible to replicate by smart stitching of TradFi toolset. Through Stable OS, we are #unbundling #privilege by providing: 🏦 A fully compliant & secure access to stablecoin infrastructure for traditional financial institutions where they don’t have to risk losing their current banking relationships by processing stablecoin flows, 💵 Smooth and reliable global fiat rails to stablecoin native neobanks & wallets without additional licensing or banking. If you want to learn more DMs are open. You can also grab me at the #Stablecon conference in NYC this week.

When addressing the issue of employment in Turkey, it is essential to create a holistic ecosystem where all elements are interconnected, and to implement various measures simultaneously across different sectors and fields. In this context, addressing everything from the education system to women’s employment, from the informal economy to youth unemployment, is crucial. The solution lies not only in diagnosing these problems but also in having qualified and visionary personnel in governance and implementing stable, long-term strategies. It’s also important to study global success stories and adapt them to our own conditions. However, changing the existing system and making this change permanent is key. In this regard, a stable approach, aligning the education system with economic needs, and emphasizing vocational training and technological advancements are vital. #unemployment, #economy, #digitaltransformation, #arrificialintelligence, #technology, #sustainableconomy, #greenenergy #education https://lnkd.in/drbXAbcZ

Thrilled to announce a landmark transaction for digital infrastructure industry in Turkiye. Trendyol and Castle Investments announced their strategic partnership to design, develop and operate a 48 MW datacenter in Ankara. The total investment will be approximately $500M and the first phase of the project will be operational in Q3 2026. As Dome Group, we advised Trendyol as an exclusive financial advisor in this transaction. Thanks for the excellent deal team Simten Öztürk and Can Ilgin for all supports during the process. Great to work with Trendyol team Dündar Özdemir, Ali Ilci and Barış Uslu and GDH team Fadi Shwaihat, Adil Iqbal Amanullah, roger habr and Tarek Ghaoui in this transaction. Turkiye will remain under the radar of global datacenter operators in near future because of government incentives for hyperscaler datacenters, strong local demand with potential hyperscaler entrance to the market, power availability and fiber connectivity.

Sustainability transformation is a transformation of mindset and behavior. That is it starts with people. Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2025, where I shared Sabanci Holding's journey toward sustainability transformation. We believe that meaningful change goes beyond institutions. It requires individuals and teams to evolve. That’s why we focus on three layers of transformation: #I - #WE - #IT. We support individuals in developing both technical and adaptive green skills, promote collective transformation within teams, and redesign our organizational structures around this vision. Through the Sabancı Sustainability Academy, we are scaling this approach across the Group. One of the most powerful levers in this journey is our collaboration with Sabanci University, where we co-create programs to build future-ready skills both for the next generation and our current teams. Today, HR and Sustainability are no longer separate domains. They’re two connected forces, sitting at the same table, moving forward with shared purpose. This isn’t just a climate crisis. it’s a behavioral one. The solution lies in a transformation that starts with people. #Sustainability #StartsWithSabancı

A critical distinction for tech founders evaluating Turkey and Portugal lies in their respective funding environments and market stability. Turkey's startup funding nearly doubled between 2023 and 2025, signaling a rapidly expanding investor interest and a youthful, tech-savvy population driving digital innovation. This indicates significant growth potential, particularly for ventures targeting regional markets across Europe, Asia, and MENA. Conversely, Portugal, an established EU Startup Ecosystem hotspot, consistently ranks in Europe’s top 20 for talent and capital access. Its ecosystem benefits from major events like Web Summit and robust EU funding opportunities, offering greater market stability and predictable regulatory frameworks, though accompanied by higher operational costs. Founders must weigh Turkey's dynamic, high-growth but volatile market against Portugal's established, stable, and EU-integrated environment to align with their risk appetite and scaling objectives. https://lnkd.in/dS-qSPpb #TechInvestment #StartupFunding #EUResidency #TurkeyTech #PortugalD2Visa

Türkiye is our hometown, and at Metis Ventures we ask ourselves every day how to turn that edge into more unicorns. We’ve distilled those questions into a report on Türkiye’s macro, tech & VC landscape; backed by a few data points that prove just how strategic the country’s position really is: → Scale is native, inside and out. From Istanbul a four-hour hop reaches 1.5B people and $24T GDP, while 78M mobile users and 58M social accounts give Europe one of its largest live sandboxes. → The payback ratio is outrageous. Every seed dollar attracts ≈$100 in follow-on, and each high-tech hire sparks 4.3 additional jobs. → Talent runs deep and diverse, capital doesn’t. 100 K STEM grads a year (35 % women), GitHub growth top-10 globally, avg. dev salary ≈ $30K. → Seed-cheque asymmetry is the choke point. Median seed round <€500K, yet most teams need €2M+ to hire, ship, and sell worldwide. → Corporate R&D is snowballing. Google, Siemens, Amazon, Huawei already run 1600+ R&D centers across 80+ tech parks, expanding the tech stack at pace. Quick nod to Gökhan and Haluk for co-building this report with me on a tight timeline. At Metis Ventures we bridge that gap with €1–3 M seed cheques, powering Türkiye’s Unicorn Engine.

Red Flags in Startups: What Makes Investors Say “No” 📌Yagiz Karadeniz, Istanbul, Managing Partner at DOMiNO Ventures One of the most serious red flags is the absence of global thinking. At DOMiNO Ventures, we check if a team can think and act beyond its local market. Limited understanding of international scalability, user behavior, and competition often signals weak strategic vision and low potential for long-term growth. Another major red flag is an unbalanced or misaligned founding team. Lack of transparency, weak communication, or resistance to feedback raises doubts about the team’s ability to execute effectively and maintain momentum under pressure. We prioritize teams that show adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with international partners and investors. In today’s investment landscape, local success is not enough. 📌Alya Abbaszada, Baku, Managing Director at SABAH.angels, SABAH.HUB Before investing, we evaluate the team, but what matters most is execution. Even a strong team can fail if the roadmap doesn’t develop as expected. A red flag is a startup with no expansion potential — if a project is built only for one market, it raises serious concerns. 📌Mirolim Abdullaev, Tashkent, Operating Partner at AloqaVentures Early-stage startups are risky. Mistakes in numbers, a raw product, or immature go-to-market strategy are normal. But some issues are clear red flags: — Lack of reliability: sales, client, or revenue numbers don’t match reality — Misaligned team: co-founder conflicts, unclear roles, power struggles — Lack of focus: trying to do everything at once without a clear core customer pain point — Overvaluation without justification or traction — Weak unit economics: founders don’t understand acquisition costs or revenue per customer A major red flag is when a team has a beautiful pitch deck but lacks honesty. Exaggerated metrics, hidden terms with partners, or inability to explain business logic — who pays and for what — stops the conversation. Trust matters more than a perfect product. Proud to announce that Société Générale acted as sole global coordinator and lender bank for the €1.55bn financing of the Dörtyol–Hassa Highway & Railway Project on behalf of Türkiye’s Ministry of Treasury and Finance. This landmark transaction—supported by EKN, SACE and ICIEC alongside a strong group of lenders—will deliver a vital transport link from İskenderun Bay to the industrial heart of Southeastern Anatolia, fostering economic recovery and resilience in the earthquake-affected region. We extend our sincere thanks to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance for their trust and confidence, and to Doğuş Insaat and Met-Gun / Eze Insaat—the project’s two EPC-F contractors—for their outstanding collaboration and commitment. This achievement reflects the dedication of all partners involved and the hard work of our teams in delivering another complex, high-impact infrastructure financing for Türkiye’s future.

Storytelling isn’t enough - we must deliver outcomes. Technology isn’t enough - we must understand finance. And founders must recognize that they stand on the same side as investors. Bringing investors into the process early, strengthening mutual trust, and re-balancing the founder–investor dynamic will be critical for the ecosystem moving forward. 🤝

Yesterday, we talked Revo Capital’s Cross-Border Strategy: Regional Startups to Global Success” with Cenk Bayrakdar, Founding Partner & Managing Director of Revo Capital. Cenk isn’t a finance-first VC. He’s a product-oriented operator who built global products at scale, realized the difference between revenue and equity, and started Revo long before venture capital became an asset class in his market. Today, Revo has raised $250M+, backed 51+ startups, and driven 18+ global exits by designing companies for international outcomes from day one. 💡 Key takeaways - VC ecosystems aren’t born, they’re built before the market believes they exist. -Local traction doesn’t define venture outcomes; global exits do. -Revo’s core thesis: diaspora founders, global companies, with 51%+ of R&D in Turkey. -Revo built an internal AI system to identify high-potential founders before the market sees them. -Capital alone isn’t the edge, active platform support (talent, GTM, operations) is. -SaaS isn’t dying; it’s evolving into AI-native, especially for SMB productivity gains. -Founders aiming for global exits often need to stay overseas and close to buyers. -VC-to-VC collaboration compounds returns and reduces execution risk. -The strongest funds share knowledge instead of hoarding it. 💬 We also broke down why strategic exits often outperform local IPOs, how diaspora founders unlock global buyers, and why venture only works when portfolio thinking beats deal chasing. 🤝 Huge thanks to Cenk Bayrakdar for the honest, operator-level insights. These are the conversations founders and investors rarely get unless they’re already inside the system. If you missed it, the recording is coming, and this one is worth watching closely. #VentureCapital #CrossBorderVC #GlobalStartups #RevoCapital #CenkBayrakdar #StartupEcosystem #GlobalExits #DiasporaFounders #AIinVC #FounderFirst #OperatorVC #VenturePlatform #AINativeSaaS #SMBTech #VCtoVC #StartupInvesting #EmergingToGlobal #KnowledgeSharing #FounderInsights

Turkey’s Economic Resilience: Navigating Through Uncertainty Turkey’s economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience amid global economic fluctuations. With a revised GDP growth forecast of 3.5% for 2025, the country is showing signs of recovery. Key sectors like medical technology are experiencing significant growth, with the market expected to reach $5.4 billion. However, geopolitical tensions and domestic challenges pose risks to sustained growth. As Turkey continues to navigate these complexities, stakeholders must consider: What strategies will ensure long term economic stability and growth? #TurkeyEconomy #EmergingMarkets #MedicalTechnology #EconomicGrowth #GeopoliticalRisks

🚀 Great news from the extended 212 ecosystem! More at 👉 werover.com
