♻️ 93% recycling rate. 83,000kg of waste diverted. Last week, our Brighton team was awarded Gold for Recycling Excellence (South East) at the Recorra Awards. This felt great as we were up against some really strong competition and also because our culture is being seen. So what has our partnership with Recorra done? 💪 Mixed recycling reprocessed into new materials and packaging ☕ Coffee grounds turned into bio-fuel alternatives 🍗 Food waste converted into renewable energy and fertiliser 📰 Cardboard and paper returned into the production cycle It’s not just about 'doing our bit' - we're in this to make a meaningful environmental impact. That mindset has always been how we operate at MPB. Not just in our facilities, but in the circular marketplace we’ve built for camera gear. A big thank you to our ops teams in Brighton and across our UK sites. Consistency at scale is what makes this possible. 💚

MPB started with a secondhand Canon EOS 300 and a question: why isn’t there a safer, more trusted way to buy and sell used kit? As part of our 5/10/15 celebration, Founder and CEO Matt Barker has for the first time shared on video how that idea grew from a university side project into a global marketplace powered by a team that believed it could be much bigger.

We’re proud to share that MPB has been named in the #FT1000 list of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies for the sixth consecutive year! This places us among just 17 companies globally — and only a handful in the UK — to have featured in the ranking six years in a row. Sustained growth at this level isn’t just about scale. It reflects the strength and resilience of our circular model and the accelerating demand for more accessible, sustainable ways to buy, sell and trade used photo and video kit. Thank you to our team, customers and community for continuing to power this momentum. Read the article at FT: https://on.ft.com/3Peadek

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! Last night at the Amateur Photographer Awards 2026 - the UK’s oldest and most respected photography industry event - MPB was honoured with Platinum at the Good Service Awards for our commitment to outstanding customer experience and support. This accolade is especially meaningful because it’s voted for by the photography community, recognising the retailers and service providers that go the extra mile for photographers at every level. Winning this award builds on our previous success in the same category - and we couldn’t be prouder to continue delivering the service our customers love and trust. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us - from photographers and partners to our incredible team members who deliver excellence every day. 🙌 Here’s to helping more creators get great gear, great value, and great service every step of the way. #MPB #GoodServiceAward #AmateurPhotographerAwards #PhotographyCommunity #CustomerService

At MPB , we’re seeing firsthand that secondhand is no longer a trend - it’s becoming the first choice. We’re now operating at an annualised run rate of more than 615,000 cameras, lenses and accessories recirculated each year, supporting creators around the world. Volumes continue to grow year-on-year as customers choose used gear for its value, quality and sustainability. This shift isn’t anecdotal. Our research shows that 70% of consumers buy or sell used goods at least once a year, clear evidence that recommerce is now embedded in everyday shopping behaviour. Millennials and higher-income households are helping drive this movement, challenging old stereotypes about who buys secondhand. Attitudes towards gifting are evolving too. In the UK alone, nearly half of adults are happy to give a used gift, and almost two-thirds would be comfortable receiving one - another sign of growing confidence with secondhand. Trust and experience are central to this shift. As recommerce platforms scale, platforms must invest in authentication, expert inspection, transparent pricing and strong customer support, all critical to building and maintaining consumer confidence. A Retail Week comment piece published on Tuesday explores how recommerce is beginning to influence first-hand sales volumes. While the focus is fashion, the underlying behavioural shift is visible across sectors - including photography and videography. Used is no longer the alternative. For a growing number of consumers, it’s the starting point - and that has meaningful implications for how our industry evolves. Link to Retail Week article: https://lnkd.in/eJJGjfWW

As our platform scales, we’ve made a habit of asking: is our architecture making change easier or harder? In this piece, two of our Lead Engineers, Humberto Politi de Oliveira and Lucas Borges Moreira de Souza, explain why we adopted Entity Boundary Interactor and how we applied it incrementally. They share what changed in practice, including clearer use cases, better testability and a stronger separation of business rules from infrastructure. Their article is a practical look at architecture as everyday guardrails. Read more on Medium: https://bit.ly/4anA8bW
