📓 A new issue of the Fusion Diaries just dropped: • 37 releases shipped • 450 issues closed across dbt-fusion and internal repos • 643 merged PRs (100+ per week) What's landed: • Spark and DuckDB adapters now in public beta • Baseline mode enabled by default — validation errors surface as warnings, not blockers • One unified binary for the CLI and LSP (no more behind-the-scenes downloads) • --write-catalog flag to generate catalog.json while you run dbt commands • Sharper error messages and a new Generate System Report debug action in VS Code In progress: • warn_error_options support for more control over baseline warnings • Deferral improvements for projects using static analysis • Fusion Release Tracks (compatible, extended, fallback) coming soon GA is close. New projects on the dbt platform already default to the dbt Fusion engine, and existing Snowflake projects will start getting prompted to upgrade in the next few weeks. When they adopted the dbt Fusion engine, the goal was simple: make life easier for developers. The performance gains came along for the ride.
