You may have seen her name mentioned in the press, but today we’re sharing our first dedicated spotlight on one of the artists shaping Meow Wolf Los Angeles: Gabriela Ruiz. Meow Wolf artist liaison AJ Girard sat down with Gabriela to talk about Los Angeles as a city of shifting worlds, how she builds immersive spaces across installation, sculpture, painting, and performance, and what it’s been like to dream big inside the Meow Wolf process. On building her room: “They asked me to dream big, and so I did.” On LA at night: no traffic, just space, roaming, freedom.
