Share your most sensitive data. Keep total control over it. Pick one. That’s the dilemma every organization faces, and it’s only getting harder as AI reshapes how data moves. This week at GPSEC by GuidePoint Security, Michael Hoeschele took the stage to show exactly how Virtru makes “both” the answer. A big thank you to GuidePoint Security for putting on a world-class event and for being such a strong partner. It was great connecting with so many of you (human and canine) alongside Matt Sack and Dalton Menhall at the Virtru booth. Missed us this time? Let’s talk.

"Is this even legal?" I couldn't help but ask, as Gareth Pembroke and I found ourselves on Santa Monica Beach at around 1pm last Tuesday. With the AI landscape changing every hour, it did feel a bit wrong to step away from it, even for a few moments in between customer meetings. How dare we sit on the beach. We even got smoothies! But it was exactly what we needed. Hearing directly from our customers at Canva, Virtru, Crunchtime, Bonterra, and Braze. Why they chose Peerbound, what value we deliver for them, what else we can do, and even more importantly, what are their executives asking of them, how is AI impacting them, and a lot more... Bottom line: AI is here to stay, the best companies are both mandating AI from the top and hiring people who'll push it from the bottom., and on the flip side, buyers want to hear real customer proof more than ever. More AI everywhere means the value of a trusted human voice is going up every day. And that's what Peerbound aims to deliver - relevant, verified customer proof to marketers, sales reps, and soon, directly to your buyers themselves (wait 'til you see what we've got in store for you next week). Here's an interesting tidbit - customer marketers have already figured out the difference between an AI-native approach and "AI" that's been slapped on to old workflows (usually with nothing more than a ✨ on their website). I believe AI gives customer marketers a real shot at driving serious impact and getting the recognition they deserve. We hear this from the marketers we serve - CEOs and even Board members recognizing their impact on their companies and encouraging them to accelerate. Now that I've gotten the serious stuff out of the way, I should note that every time we meet our customers, we have an absolute blast. Customer marketers are truly OUR PEOPLE. Hard-working, high-integrity, humble, and a (very) underrated sense of humor! On a dare from one of our customers, I am obligated to say here that I "had a great time connecting with these little freaks who are always customer proofmaxxing.” PS - if you'd like to hear from two of the best customer marketers out there, I'm hosting a webinar tomorrow called "How I AI" with Crystal Anderson from Canva and Liza McGraw from Motive. I hope this webinar will inspire marketers to go from wherever they are with AI to the next rung on the ladder. Join us - and 100+ registered customer marketers! (link in comments)

How many times have you been handed this impossible ask: share your most sensitive data to keep business moving, while also keeping absolute control and visibility over it? Every industry has this same unsolved problem. And it's getting bigger with the rise of AI. Thanks GPSEC for letting us share our solution. Haven't met with us yet? Come find Matt Sack and Dalton Menhall at the Virtru booth to talk about data protection beyond the perimeter. Michael Hoeschele | GuidePoint Security

Mission success depends on sharing the right data—without ever losing control of it. This means enabling secure, sovereign collaboration across agencies and partners through a Zero Trust, data-centric approach: • Encryption and policy controls stay with the data—wherever it goes • Access is continuously verified by identity, role, and context • Ownership and control remain with the originating agency at all times Virtru enables: • Seamless interoperability across agencies and jurisdictions • Secure collaboration with contractors, allies, and partners • Persistent visibility and control over sensitive data—even after sharing By removing friction from secure data sharing, organizations can operate at mission speed—while maintaining Zero Trust principles. Data sovereignty, interoperability, and Zero Trust aren’t competing priorities, rather they reinforce each other for a stronger and more compliant environment. Data is more mobile than ever. But if your data security is more like a castle on a hill you're going to have problems. That's where Virtru comes in. Thanks to Mike Morper and Trevor Foskett for showing me how things work!

"If you are preparing for a future of quantum threats and AI-driven workflows, you have to start tagging and protecting data at the object level today. Stop worrying about the walls and start worrying about the data inside them." Grateful for this sharp breakdown from Tom Hollingsworth at Tech Field Day, covering how Virtru approaches data sovereignty, AI governance, and the road to post-quantum security. https://lnkd.in/eAxDKjWx

Zero Trust isn't a toolbox. It's a strategy. Our own Don Yeske, who helped shape Zero Trust implementation at DHS and the Department of the Navy, is joining the godfather of Zero Trust himself, John Kindervag, for a live conversation hosted by Illumio. They'll dig into protect surfaces, data-centric security, and what it actually takes to move Zero Trust from theory to reality. Tune in TODAY at 11:30 AM ET/8:30 AM PST!
