Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Exam questions were challenging, but I was also well prepared. Exam UI was easy to use and navigate, I liked it, no issues faced.

Great way to obtain a deeper understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem. I learnt a few things while writing the exam as well.

I normally work with higher level Kubernetes tools in my career. While preparing for this exam, I found myself diving into areas that I typically don't need to think about. The experience gave me a much better understanding of the core components of a cluster, and made me feel more comfortable troubleshooting complex issues when they arose.

I really liked the environment responsiveness, it was much better than I expected. Everything was moving smoothly.

I like the variety of questions. Being time based makes you work like you are in real prod environment.

It's as close to reality as an exam can get! Tough questions, but I loved it. These types of certificates are actually worth obtaining, as simply regurgitating some text will not get you through.

Compared to taking the CKA exam years ago, the questions are far clearer than I can remember. There are tips for common questions, and commands/concepts that are likely out of scope. The ExamUI is nice in that it provides great detail, and makes all key information easily copyable, as well as quick to reference. I felt like it allowed me to focus on the core concepts and task at hand.

The practical problem-solving exam is fantastic. I think preparing for this type of exam is a much better learning experience than preparing for multiple-choice exams.

The exam itself does not test your memory, but it tests your understanding of Kubernetes which I think is great. It would definitely give all those who pass the certification exam a good reputation.

Hands-on exam is the best. It is fun to study, fun to practice, and fun to do the exam. Because of this, preparing for the exam has given me invaluable experience on the subject matter, so whether I pass or not, embarking on this certification I feel much more prepared than before.

Practical, lab based exams beat multiple-choice hands down for depth of knowledge required. I feel that the certification you get from a lab based exam is worth more than a multiple-choice exam.

The questions are realistic, and give you the confidence to handle real world issues with Kubernetes managed workloads.

The hands-on nature of the exam pushes me to get proficient with the subject matter, which is not the same for other multi-choice exams that focus only on concepts. I love that about the CKA/AD/S exams.

The new version of the exam really helps towards studying cool, modern things about Kubernetes. I found a lot of things that I will definitely use in work projects, as well as answers to many questions. In addition, this exam is the only source of truth in terms of understanding how Kubernetes really works under the hood. No book, nor course will ever help you understand the whole Kubernetes core and ecosystem like this certification does.

Although the exam was challenging, I appreciated the opportunity to work on real-world scenarios that tested my skills in Kubernetes, Service, and Networking. The exam covered a wide range of topics, which allowed me to demonstrate my understanding of different Kubernetes concepts and tools. Additionally, the use of practical tasks made the experience more hands-on, and reflective of real-life situations.

I appreciated how the exam was well-structured and clearly aligned with what we learned. The questions were fair, and I liked that there was a good mix of conceptual and application-based problems. It really tested my understanding, rather than just memorization.

I enjoyed the practical tasks. The skills tested are really in line with what I would expect from a holder of this certificate, and is good proof of understanding this topic I believe.

Test environment was excellent, and very convenient, especially the question layout and important details highlighted for easy copy and paste, and relevant documentation links above every question. It's a pure test of knowledge, not how fast you can drag your mouse, or type away in the Kubernetes documents.

The presented scenarios are great examples of how to test someone's skills. They are complex scenarios with simple solutions, that is, if you know what you're doing. If on the other hand you don't know, there is no way you can slip your way through with sheer luck. Good job on that.

Great exam as a new Kubernetes beginner. The feeling of doing some tricky tasks with very limited time, reflecting real world work situations in an exam is what many other certification exams lack these days. I feel that the CKA certification exam needs to get much, much more recognition and aspiration.

The questions were put up systematically, the hints were the important ones that help me get the tasks done quickly, the copy-paste mechanism lets me copy the words and the context of the question which is the best, this gives short info on the all-over task that needs to be performed.

I really like how hands-on this course is, the certification is different to most in that regard. After completing this certification, I definitely feel confident walking into a job as a K8s Administrator, and to successfully do the job.

The journey leading up to the exam was the most rewarding. I was forced to dive deep into the Kubernetes topics, and to truly master the material - this is not something that I have had to do for many other comparable certification exams.

Even though I am quite proficient in K8s, the limitation of only being able to use the documentation, and the breadth of the topics, forced me to look at some topics in more detail than I would in my daily work. I am sure this has broadened my understanding of K8s, and will come in handy one day.
