Nginx Brotli plugin, Does it work with Enable gzip compression” unchecked?
-
I am running Phastpress on a LEMP server. In the Phastpress settings under “plugin” section, there is an option to “Enable gzip compression on processed resources “. When hovering over the “?” Info icon next to it, it says:
“Additional information: This compresses the optimized and bundled JavaScript and CSS generated by PhastPress. Disable this if your server already compresses PhastPress responses.”
How can I tell if my server “already compresses PhastPress responses”? Does my default Brotli setup already compress PhastPress, or do I need to somehow set up the plugin to include PhastPress responses? Should I be okay unchecking this, and assuming PhastPress responses are cached with Brotli?
Someone please let me know about this. Any help or info is appreciated!
