Hi @jstepak,
Thanks for reaching out! In Divi, you’ll need to use the EmbedPress shortcode to embed PDFs, and EmbedPress fully supports shortcode attributes, including the settings required for the 3D Flipbook style.
Please check our documentation here for full details.
To use the 3D Flipbook style, you can apply the following shortcode attributes:
PDF Shortcode Attributes:
height='400'
width='600'
viewer_style = 'modern/flip-book' new
theme_mode = 'default/dark/light/custom'
theme_mode='custom' if theme mode custom
custom_color='#333333' then you can apply this
toolbar = = true/false
presentation = true/false
toolbar_position = 'top/bottom'
download = true/false
copy_text = true/false
draw=true/false
only for Modern:
doc_rotation = true/false
doc_details = true/false
only for Flipbook:
zoom_in = true/false'
zoom_out = true/false
fit_view = true/false
bookmark = true/false
You can add these attributes directly inside your EmbedPress shortcode to achieve the desired 3D Flipbook display in Divi.
Hope this will help you. Let us know if you need any other assistance. We’re always here to help you.
Thanks!

Hi @arrasel403,
Thanks for your message, the details about the short-code and the link to the documentation page. I have updated my short-code to the following and the frame is still appearing as a basic PDF – scrolling vertically to each page.
[embedpress_pdf viewer_style=’flip-book’ theme_mode=’light’ toolbar=’true’ toolbar_position=’bottom’ download=’true’ zoom_in=’true’ zoom_out=’true’ fit_view=’true’]https://www.nga.gov/sites/default/files/migrate_images/content/dam/ngaweb/education/teachers/arttales_eng_web.pdf[/embedpress_pdf]
Since I include this: viewer_style=’flip-book’
I expected this short-code to display the 3D Flip Book style.
Would you take a look and help me understand what I need to modify in my short-code? Maybe I need the Pro version to achieve what I’m looking for. (I’m looking forward to purchasing the Pro version but I wanted to get a snapshot of how the Flipbook option appears before I do.
Hi @jstepak ,
Hope you’re doing well. Sorry to hear that you’re still unable to use the 3D Flipbook effect on your site.
I checked the shortcode you shared and noticed a small issue. Instead of using the standard single quote ' a different symbol was used (please see the screenshot). Because of this, the shortcode isn’t being recognized correctly.
Simply replace those symbols with the correct single quotes, and the 3D Flipbook effect should work as expected. You can also follow this screencast for reference.
I hope this helps you achieve the 3D Flipbook effect. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach us here.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi @arrasel403,
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me troubleshoot my issue. Per your advice, I replaced all the odd quote marks with what I think is a single quote. I also updated the PDF I was using to a simpler one. I still can’t get the PDF to display in the 3D Flipbook style. It appears in the simple PDF style where you can scroll through it vertically. Here is the short code that I used:
[embedpress_pdf viewer_style=’flip-book’ theme_mode=’light’ toolbar=’true’ toolbar_position=’bottom’ download=’true’ zoom_in=’true’ zoom_out=’true’ fit_view=’true’]https://www.getty.edu/publications/resources/virtuallibrary/0892362006.pdf[/embedpress_pdf]
Do you see any remaining issues with this short code? Maybe it’s because I’m trying to embed this short code in a Divi website? (though the docs say I should be able to do it)
Hi @jstepak ,
