Kinks- I'm Not Like Everybody Else

Ok Brian, better late than never

Kinks - The Village Green Preservation Society

My favorite Kinks song. I searched far and wide for this one and finally found me a copy of this very elusive 45.God save the Kinks.

Kinks - Days

Countdown continues with my 2nd favorite Kinks 45.

Kinks - Sunny Afternoon

Great song with probably one of the greatest lyrics in all of rock music...
My girlfriend's gone off with my car
And gone back to her ma and pa
Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty
Now I'm sitting here
Sipping at my ice cold beer
Lazing on a sunny afternoon

Kinks - Waterloo Sunset

Here is another brilliant 45 that was huge in the UK but again went nowhere here. This was released on Reprise twice...once in the 60's and once as a b side in the early 70s.

Kinks - Autumn Almanac

Another brilliant song that was overlooked here in the states.

Kinks - Picture Book

I so love the Kinks I think I will share some of my all time faves. Some of these 45s are so difficult to find and Saturday's upload will be my all time favorite. Of course I will stick solely with the Reprise 45s for this week.
I was so amazed when HP used this song a few years ago in their commercial but thought it was perfect. I found a clip of them singing this. Check out youtube for another clip that starts off with Last of the Stream Powered Trains...brilliant!

Kinks - Where Have All The Good Times Gone

Last nights upload was a teaser... what is better than a Kinks song? The version by the Kinks.

Kinks - Father Christmas

One of my all time faves.

The Kinks- Father Christmas

Kinks God's Children

You can mark the Kinks down as one of my favorite bands. An elusive white label promo 45 (as are most 60's and early 70's Kinks 45's). A surprising choice for Gospel Sunday perhaps but it has a good message. Way to go Ray!
