LibGuides Customers: As of July 1, 2026, Springshare has deprecated support for Bootstrap 3 in LibGuides.
- We will direct LibGuides clients to upgrade to Bootstrap 5 rather than fixing (most) issues or offering advice on the legacy version. If you need assistance with Bootstrap 3 related customizations or functionality, please post a question in the LibGuides category on the Lounge. Exceptions:
- If you cannot edit a page due to bad HTML / CSS entered on the page, we will continue to assist in fixing that issue.
- If Bootstrap 3 functionality is legitimately broken (not because of a customization), let us know. If something stopped working after adding a customization, please remove the customization; you can ask in the LibGuides category on the Lounge for advice on adjusting the customization you wish to add.
- LibGuides related help pages / other customer experience resources for Bootstrap 3 will not be updated.
The deadline to upgrade LibGuides to Bootstrap 5 remains the end of January 2027.
As of now, Springshare Support is focused on helping LibGuides clients update and only supporting Bootstrap 5 pages / functionality in LibGuides.
