IN CAMERA, Edition No. 01 💡 We proudly present our new Noxtua magazine which shines light into the offices of legal publishing. The first edition is dedicated to Susanne Stein-Pressl (Managing Partner of MANZ'sche Verlags- und Universitätsbuchhandlung GmbH). Her publishing house has outlived an empire, two world wars, and the collapse of its own currency. Founded in 1849, MANZ has had plenty of practice at meeting the future. In conversation with Paula Reichenberg (VP Legal Innovation at Noxtua), Susanne Stein shares how a house learns that lesson and carries it forward. One key lesson for her: “Every generation has to create its own innovation, or the house goes under.” For her, this means opening up to new technologies with a strict focus on her publishing house’s core strength: its legal data. Thank you, Susanne, for opening the doors of MANZ to us. Thank you also to Viennese illustrator FRANKE for the cover portrait, drawn in pencil and ink.
