Looking for a smarter way to get actuarial work done? A generic AI tool responds to a prompt. An Akur8 Agent helps move an actuarial workflow forward. In pricing, that could mean helping build formulas, review variables, generate reports, or update rating structures. Every action is visible, every result is traceable, and nothing changes without your approval. Want to know more? Book a demo with our team 👉 https://lnkd.in/eESaM4MA

Some nights are worth dressing up for. 🍑 On October 1, Ken Scalf and Charles Hoffman headed to the Crystal Peach Awards Gala in Atlanta, and came back with the French Tech Atlanta Award for Akur8. We started in Paris with a simple idea: insurance pricing could be faster, smarter and a lot less painful. Seeing that recognized on this side of the Atlantic, by the French American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta-Southeast was very rewarding. This one belongs to everyone at Akur8, and to the clients who trusted us early on. Thank you, FACC, and congrats to all the other honorees. It was a fun night to be in the room.

Two webinar replays, now available on demand. 📊 Reserving Beyond the Numbers: Validating Your Narrative with Sensitivity Testing at Scale How do you defend a reserve that’s essentially a bet on the future? Michael Henk shows how sensitivity testing at scale helps you spot weak assumptions early, flag anomalies, and build the data trail that makes auditor and executive conversations shorter. 👉 https://lnkd.in/edq7hRgK 📏 Selecting and Applying Exposure Bases for Less-Obvious Cases What do you do when the preferred exposure base isn't available, or when you have too many to choose from? Samuel Gifford and Felix Go share practical use cases across auto, telematics, home, and specialty lines. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eKfZ2B_x

In many professions, teams can experiment with AI that produces results that are occasionally wrong or difficult to explain. In actuarial work, the consequences can be harder to detect, trace, and correct. That’s why AI in insurance must meet a higher standard than simply producing a plausible answer. For actuarial teams, the real test is what happens after the answer is generated: 🔴 Can the result be verified? 🔴 Does it follow actuarial logic? 🔴 Can the actuary see and approve what happens next? These are the questions that matter when AI enters an actuarial workflow. Learn more about Akur8 Agents: https://lnkd.in/esFiwNnr

📸 A few highlights from ITC Vegas 2026 and Akur8 Live Las Vegas, where we introduced Akur8 Agents. Our conversations with actuaries and industry leaders kept returning to one question: how can we make AI useful while keeping people accountable? Speed is part of the appeal. But before actuaries can rely on AI, they need to understand its outputs and be able to validate them. That makes transparency and human review essential to adoption. Meredith Barnes-Cook brought this into focus by exploring how the right level of autonomy depends on the task. Teams need room to build experience, assess performance, and gradually expand AI’s role, with accuracy, compliance, and human control guiding those decisions. That same principle shapes the role of Akur8 Agents. As Brune de Linares (Garnier) shared, they help set up, guide, and coordinate work within Akur8’s existing platform. The actuarial engines remain in place, and actuaries retain control over the decisions. This also raises a broader question for teams. In our fireside chat, “Unlocking the AI Multiplier,” we explored how workflows and team structures change as AI takes on more tasks, and how the role of expertise changes with them. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their perspectives. These conversations made the practical questions around AI adoption worth discussing long after the sessions ended. 💬 What would help you build trust in AI within your actuarial workflow?

What will the future of insurance pricing look like as AI and regulation continue to evolve? In our latest webinar, Edwin Graham and Mónica Carvajal-Pinto walked through how AI adoption and evolving European regulations are challenging pricing teams to rethink the way they govern and structure their workflows. The replay is now available 👉 https://lnkd.in/eCWZawuJ From greater transparency in actuarial processes to stronger collaboration across teams, the session explores practical ways to make pricing more responsible, transparent, and fit for the future.
