A hugely valuable aspect of basis.point's work is our Partner Programme model. By fostering strong relationships between our Patrons and education partners, we help create partnerships that can be closely aligned with specific corporate values and social impact objectives. In this video, Paul Daly shares the story behind the BNP Paribas Ireland Partner Programme, Home from Home. Delivered by the Early Learning Initiative ParentChild+, the established home visiting programme has been adapted to support families experiencing homelessness, helping parents become their child's first and most important educator during an especially challenging period in their lives. It's a powerful example of how long-term partnerships can help address specific community needs while creating lasting impact for children and families. Thank you to Derek Kehoe CDIR CIFD, Joy Kiely, Paul Daly, Nikki Hodgson and all the team at BNP Paribas. Please talk to Edel O'Malley directly if your organisation is interested in exploring partnership opportunities. #StrongPartnerships. #SharedGoals. #GreaterImpact.#basispointWeek Eoin FitzGerald Eimear O'Dwyer Eve Finn Pat Lardner Paul Kilcullen, Frank Gannon Paul Daly Laura Trimble Alan Meaney Melíosa Ó Caoimh Niamh Geraghty Ronnie Griffin Edel O'Malley Irish Funds Irish Fund Directors Association (IFDA)

Supporting educational opportunities for children in under resourced communities
About us
basis.point is an initiative by the Irish Fund Industry with a vision to make a sustainable and tangible difference to those living in poverty, particularly young people, by supporting charities that focus on education. The Irish Fund Industry is hugely active in terms of providing financial assistance to those in need and is also tremendously engaged in active volunteerism. This assistance is mainly implemented through the CSR programs of industry firms and mostly takes place ‘under the radar’. basis.point was formed in 2013 (receiving charitable status in 2014), to supplement this very laudable effort and seeks support from all sectors of the industry, in particular, from individuals, corporates and fund promoters. basis.point reached a major milestone in February 2015, when we made our first multi-year grant to the Archways charity to implement the Archways basis.point programme Delivering Incredible Years® in Dublin’s Inner City. This first grant embodies what basis.point is about, helping a program that seeks to improve the lives of children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties through early collaborative classroom and home intervention. This evidence based program will have a significantly positive impact on the children themselves, their family, friends and school friends and, ultimately, on society as a whole. We continue to seek donations to help basis.point meet our objective of making a real difference to those young people caught in poverty by focusing on enabling education to make a positive impact on their lives. You can help by becoming a patron or a volunteer and as basis.point can only make a difference to the extent it is supported, we urge everyone who has a stake in Ireland’s success as a premier global fund hub to get involved.

As part of basis.point Week, we're taking the opportunity to celebrate the power of collaboration across Ireland's funds and financial services industry. Together, our Patrons are helping to spread the message that when we pool our resources, expertise and commitment, we can create meaningful opportunities for young people to reach their full potential through education. We're incredibly grateful to our longstanding Premier Patron, Citi, for inviting us to attend the Citi Securities Leadership Forum 2026. A fantastic and timely opportunity to showcase the collective impact our industry is making and to highlight how strategic partnerships can help transform educational outcomes for children and young people across Ireland. And it's also a good opportunity to say hello to Áine McKeown, our new Corporate Partnerships Manager, pictured below with Gary Pike and Pat Lardner. Thank you to Cilian O'Gogain and the Citi Ireland team for continuing to support, advocate for and invest in the next generation. #basispointWeek #SocialImpact #Education #Collaboration #CorporateCitizenship #IrishFunds #Citi Eoin FitzGerald Eimear O'Dwyer Eve Finn Pat Lardner Paul Kilcullen, Frank Gannon Paul Daly Laura Trimble Alan Meaney Melíosa Ó Caoimh Niamh Geraghty Ronnie Griffin Edel O'Malley Irish Funds Irish Fund Directors Association (IFDA)

As part of basis.point Week, we're celebrating the volunteers who help make a real difference in the lives of young people. Today, we're shining a spotlight on Ellen Hilliard from Vanguard Ireland who has been volunteering with Fighting Words, helping young children find their voice, build confidence, and explore their creativity through storytelling. By giving her time and encouragement, Ellen is helping young writers discover the power of their imagination and the confidence to express themselves. Every child is born with talent. Not every child is given the opportunity to realise it. This basis.point Week, we're celebrating what's possible when a community comes together to support young people. Thanks to our Patrons, Supporters, Volunteers, Education Partners and Friends we've committed over €8.5 million to education and invested thousands of volunteer hours in helping young people build confidence, skills and ambition. Thank you for believing in the power of education to change lives. #BasisPointWeek #EducationChangesLives #UnlockingPotential Eoin FitzGerald Eimear O'Dwyer Eve Finn Pat Lardner Paul Kilcullen, Frank Gannon Paul Daly Laura Trimble Alan Meaney Melíosa Ó Caoimh Niamh Geraghty Ronnie Griffin Edel O'Malley Irish Funds Irish Fund Directors Association (IFDA)

We're delighted to receive the DCU Corporate Leadership Award from the DCU Educational Trust in recognition of our partnership with DCU Changemaker Schools. While grateful for the award, what we're most proud of is the partnership it represents. From the moment we were introduced to Changemakers, we saw something special. A bold, future-focused approach that helps young people develop not only knowledge, but also the confidence, skills and belief that they can create positive change in their communities. The partnership is a natural fit for basis.point. We believe education has the power to transform lives. That's why we've been proud to support the programme from an early stage, helping to nurture an innovative idea that has grown into a recognised and valued movement across 50 schools and communities throughout Ireland. This partnership reflects something we care deeply about: what can be achieved when organisations come together, share expertise, and work towards a common goal. The success of Changemaker is a testament to the vision and dedication of the DCU team, school leaders, teachers and Change Leaders who bring it to life every day. Feel Good Friday ... What a send-off! Teen-Turn SuperStars, Edel and Orlaith set off to represent Ireland at the Technovation Global Finals in Bengaluru, India, their entire school community in rural Mayo, turned out to give them a guard of honour! Selected as one of just five Junior Division Global Finalists worldwide from more than 3,600 submissions, the pair developed their app, DiAssist, to help teens manage diabetes, blood sugar and related mental health care. DiAssist's first prototype was coded using Thunkable. But, as the girls improved their computer programming skills with Teen-Turn, they developed subsequent versions over the course of many months in React Native. Thanks to the help and support of company volunteers from industry and mentors from academia along the way (both online and in-person), they completed a market-ready app and social enterprise at only 14 years old! basis.point has been supporting Teen-Turn since 2021, helping to provide young women with opportunities to develop STEM skills, grow in confidence and realise their potential. Seeing participants progress from learning to code to representing Ireland on the global stage is exactly the kind of impact our basis.point patrons and supporters make possible. Best of luck to Edel and Orlaith in the finals. Whatever happens next, you've already inspired the next generation of girls to believe they can achieve extraordinary things. #gratitude #FeelGoodFriday #GirlsInSTEM #Technovation #TeenTurn #basispoint #EducationalOpportunity Eoin FitzGerald Eimear O'Dwyer Eve Finn Pat Lardner Paul Kilcullen, Frank Gannon Paul Daly Laura Trimble Alan Meaney Melíosa Ó Caoimh Niamh Geraghty Ronnie Griffin Edel O'Malley Irish Funds Irish Fund Directors Association (IFDA)

A little late off the press, but our September Bulletin makes for a great read! It is packed with stories of impact, ambition and community, from the incredible achievements of the Tenacious Ten, who raised over €125,000 through their Climb for a Cause Ireland challenge, to our recent Annual Report, new Board appointments and exciting award recognitions. You'll also find highlights from recent events, insights from our AI in the Boardroom discussion, and a look ahead to basis.point Week and the Battle of the Firms Quiz. Most importantly, it's a reminder of what can be achieved when people come together behind a shared purpose: creating educational opportunities for children and young people across Ireland. 📖 Read the bulletin here: https://lnkd.in/eviiRYCE #basispoint #Education #SocialImpact #Community #Partnership Eoin FitzGerald Eimear O'Dwyer Eve Finn Pat Lardner Paul Kilcullen, Frank Gannon Paul Daly Laura Trimble Alan Meaney Melíosa Ó Caoimh Niamh Geraghty Ronnie Griffin Edel O'Malley Irish Funds Irish Fund Directors Association (IFDA)
