𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 🎗️ 💗 We were delighted to welcome Breast Cancer Ireland to our office for an informative and practical awareness session focused on recognising the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Our team learned how to carry out a self-check through a practical demonstration using a medical mannequin, followed by a Q&A and an opportunity to examine the mannequin themselves. Suir Engineering reposted this
Effective construction safety starts long before work begins, with careful planning, clear communication and collaboration between everyone involved in a project. On site with Suir Engineering as part of #CIFSafety26, John Egan, CIF Executive for Safety, Health & Skills, speaks with Billy Curtain, H&S Project Manager, and Amber McGuire, AHS Adviser, about working closely with clients and subcontractors, sharing lessons learned from previous projects and identifying potential risks at each stage of construction. The discussion also explores the development of renewable energy infrastructure and the importance of planning, coordination and clear expectations in delivering complex projects safely. As part of the CIF Construction Safety Campaign 2026, the conversation reinforces this year’s theme, Back to Basics, and the role everyone plays in maintaining safe working practices throughout a project. ▶️ Learn more at www.cif.ie/safetycampaign Watch the full podcast at the link below 👇

100km in 24 hours | Megamarsch / hundert24 GmbH Seven members of our Suir Engineering team in Germany took on Megamarsch over the weekend, raising funds for The Lighthouse Charity. Blisters, exhaustion and walking through the night tested both their body and mind. At 65km and at 2am, one teammate thought his challenge was over, but managed to push through the final 35km on badly blistered feet. A huge well done to all seven, and thank you to everyone who donated and cheered them on. The team is recovering well, although we might leave it a while before suggesting the next challenge 👏🤭 #MegaMarsch #SuirWelling #TheLighthouseCharity Jamie Bowen, Terry Crossan, kamil bydon, David Christie, Dylan Murtagh

🔴 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸. We’re starting CIF Safety Week 2026 with a focus on Critical Risks. From working at height and lifting operations to electrical hazards and moving plant, recognising what could cause serious harm is an essential part of planning every task. We kicked off with a safety simulator on site at an ESB CON 378 project, giving some of our teams the chance to put their safety awareness into practice. #CIFSafetyWeek2026 #CriticalRisks #BacktoBasics #ItStartswithMe Christine O’Gorman, Construction Industry Federation (CIF)
