Our space security expert Prof Markos T. took to the stage at the recent Astroscale RPO Summit in London for a panel session on sovereign advantage and security through in-orbit servicing. The key message: government and industry must align on how we want to leverage in-orbit servicing for protection and defence, and which allies we want to work with. In the meantime, let's use the assets already in orbit to experiment and learn.

Fresh back from IFS Unleashed 2026, our very own Luigi Sidoli MBA BSc, Head of Digital Management, helped lead discussions on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Aerospace & Defence manufacturing and naval shipbuilding. Alongside participating in a panel discussion, Luigi presented PropheSEA: Scaling Execution Through Continuous Innovation, showcasing how organisations can drive greater performance and resilience through modern digital approaches. It was a fantastic opportunity to join industry leaders exploring what's next for the sectors that build, power, move and service our world, and to share how BAE Systems Digital Intelligence and Land is helping customers manage complex assets through trusted integrated product support solutions built on decades of defence software and engineering experience. #IFSUnleashed

Two major awards. One unforgettable evening at the #MCAAwards. 🏆 The Helios project was named winner of the Performance Improvement in the Public Sector category. Delivered in partnership with the Home Office and the UK Border Force, the Helios Service transformed a core element of the UK's border security capability. By maintaining uninterrupted border operations while replacing a legacy system, Helios has delivered a secure, resilient platform that strengthens national security while providing a smoother and more reliable passenger experience. 🏆 Alex C. has been awarded Chartered Management Consultant of the Year. Across the Nordics and Eastern Europe, Alex has helped customers reshape their security operations, redesign organisations, unlock external support and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements. While much of the impact of his work is intentionally unseen, its value is clear: helping organisations strengthen their defences, improve resilience and stay ahead of evolving threats. We're also incredibly proud of our other finalists, Emma Reed and Giles Whitefield MCMI ChMC MEng, whose achievements reflect the depth of talent, expertise and dedication across our consulting community. As headline sponsor of this year's National Cyber Awards, we were proud to support an event that celebrates the individuals, teams and organisations helping to strengthen the UK's cyber resilience. In his latest blog, Nick Beecroft, International Cyber Security Lead at BAE Systems, reflects on the key themes from his opening keynote, exploring why cybersecurity must increasingly be viewed as an ongoing contest rather than simply a risk to be managed. Drawing on lessons from the Indo-Pacific, Ukraine and the evolving impact of AI, he highlights why capability, resilience and collaboration remain critical to staying ahead of emerging threats. As the cyber landscape continues to evolve, one thing remains constant: people, partnerships and talent are our greatest defensive advantage. Congratulations to all of this year's winners and finalists, and thank you to The National Cyber Awards organisers for delivering another fantastic evening celebrating excellence across the cyber community. BAE Systems Digital Intelligence reposted this
You can’t patrol thousands of miles of seabed, but what if undersea cable could watch itself? Undersea fibre-optic cables are part of the critical infrastructure our economies, communications and security depend on. But protecting them is an enormous problem of scale. We’re working on a different approach: using the fibre itself as a distributed sensing network. Read how we’re achieving this using a surprising technology currently used to help protect borders 🔗 http://baes.co/Fa2L50ZTQ6w
