  • The pace of innovation matters as much as the innovation itself. We took the TRV-150, a heavy-lift uncrewed platform already proven in logistics, integrated a precision rocket system and demonstrated multi-target engagement in a single mission - no landing, no reloading. We went from concept to operational trial in months; that’s what relevant, rapid development looks like. As drone threats evolve on the battlefield, so does the technology built to address them 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e5zUeiFg

The right support can be life changing for a person living with dementia. For their family, it can bring steady guidance and the reassurance that they don't have to face it alone. That's why Royal British Legion Admiral Nurses provide specialist dementia support, combining expert guidance with compassion and understanding. Supporting this work is part of our long-standing partnership with RBL, alongside our continued support for the #PoppyAppeal. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/enPUbvek

The UK’s first #NationalCadetsWeek is a moment that reflects something we care about deeply: investing in young people, stronger communities and the nation’s future. Our support for the cadet forces is central to our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. The cadet forces make a real difference to the lives of 137,000 young people across the UK and behind that impact is a network of dedicated adult volunteers. That includes 125 of our own people, who volunteer with their local cadet units and receive up to 15 days of special paid leave to help them fulfil their duties. 🔗 http://baes.co/PXBJ50ZWaIb

You can’t patrol thousands of miles of seabed, but what if undersea cable could watch itself? Undersea fibre-optic cables are part of the critical infrastructure our economies, communications and security depend on. But protecting them is an enormous problem of scale. We’re working on a different approach: using the fibre itself as a distributed sensing network. Read how we’re achieving this using a surprising technology currently used to help protect borders 🔗 http://baes.co/Fa2L50ZTQ6w

Our BAE Systems Anti Threat System (BATS) team has successfully demonstrated its counter-drone innovation during live trials in Scotland, validating a fully integrated approach to detecting, assessing and countering uncrewed air threats. By combining sensing, command and control, electronic warfare and effectors within a single architecture, BATS gives operators the tools to respond to threats faster and with greater confidence. This latest milestone reflects our continued investment in advancing counter-UxS capabilities that help customers outpace evolving threats. Learn more 🔗 http://baes.co/fwac50ZTp6G

  • The UK's newest Astute class submarine has left our shipyard at the Royal Port of Barrow-in-Furness for the first time. At 7,400 tonnes and 97 metres long, she's the work of thousands of skilled hands. The sixth of seven Astute class boats, shaped by generations of craft in a town that's built submarines for more than a century. Barrow continues to play its part as a cornerstone of UK national security with construction of all four of the Dreadnought class submarines already under way alongside the early design and concept work for SSN-AUKUS, the Royal Navy's next generation of submarines. 🔗http://baes.co/4GPY50ZRuKu
