Yes, many of the prop replicas were purchased prior to kids, so I had a bit more disposable income! In the adjacent bedroom, I actually have a few more prop replicas that will not fit on the shelves and three life-size displays (ESB Stormtrooper, ESB Vader and ANH Tie Pilot).

I definitely want to add speakers to the ceiling. I am a bit worried about the surrounds blending in to the Atmos speakers being that they are mounted so high. The room is directly above the garage, so access to the attic is a bit difficult.

I am also currently trying to determine the future course of the theater. I plan on living in this house for approximately 5 more years. I am looking to retire and move to a less congested area where I could potentially design and build a new theater from scratch. So, keeping this in mind, I have to determine how much money I want to invest in this room as I am thinking about leaving all of this behind. So, I can either go with a whole new setup that I would prefer (PSA MTM210K for the L/C/R with PSA C6K-M for ceiling Atmos and side + rear surrounds) or just buy some SVS Ultra Evolution Elevation speakers to scratch the itch for now. You are right on the money about the upfiring speakers - I tried them, and wasn't impressed, so I took the rather crude approach of bracketing full-range speakers from the ceiling to cover the 'height' requirements, and the difference is night/day.

You might want to go through and add descriptions to each of the photos, as such an eye-catching setup is practically begging for more information! (less)
