What a way to start. Today we welcomed the 2026–2027 cohort of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Practice Incubator, and I am thrilled to share that we filled all 40 available spaces in this year’s program. That is twice the number of participants we were able to accommodate last year, and the energy on today’s Welcome & Orientation made it very clear why this program continues to grow. The Practice Incubator is about much more than learning how to build a practice. Over the coming months, these lawyers, mediators, arbitrators, and dispute resolution professionals will be working together to build practices that are more intentional, sustainable, and aligned with the work they want to do. Just as important, they will be doing it in community, with the support, accountability, and shared experience that can make all the difference. A very special thank you to Doug Mintz , Chair of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution, and Jennifer LaChance Michel, Section Director, for joining us today to welcome the cohort and kick off the year. And I am so grateful to my fellow program leaders, Charles McDaniel, Jr. and Melinda Feldman , and to our terrific facilitators for the time, experience, and commitment they bring to this program. Thank you: Allison McFadden, Timothy Alger, Kimberly Best, RN, MA, Molly Thomas, Richard Morefield, Leticia Fehn, MDR, Daniel Serviansky, John Libby a d Sarah Fischer. Most of all, thank you to our participants. Your enthusiasm today was contagious, and I cannot wait to see what you build over the next nine months. Year three of the Practice Incubator is officially underway. And judging by the room today, it is going to be a very good one.
