Africa is full of young people with great ideas. What really counts is making sure those ideas have the chance to grow. That’s why events like #InnoFest26 matter. They connect young innovators with policymakers, industry leaders, and development partners so they can share ideas, make connections, and find ways to turn their innovations into real solutions. The second InnoFest took place on 29 and 30 September at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, bringing together more than 200 participants from all over Africa. Through startup pitches, innovation showcases, masterclasses, and networking sessions, young innovators could showcase their work, learn from others, and build valuable partnerships. Supporting young innovators is about giving them access to the people, resources, and opportunities that can help those ideas succeed. #Agenda2063 #YouthInnovation #InnoFest26

Africa Skills Week upgrades TVET facilities, trainers, and local autonomy into innovation hubs for renewable energy systems design, building the green skills that drive sustainable industrialization and climate-resilient growth. To operationalize this vision across Member States, the African Union is driving actionable policy frameworks: 1. The Continental TVET Strategy (2025–2034): Standardizing green skill credentials across all 55 Member States to embed clean energy, solar installation, and grid design directly into technical education. 2. Decade of Skills and Jobs & Agenda 2063: Mobilizing public-private co-investments to modernize vocational centers into self-sustaining innovation labs for green technologies. 3. African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF): Making clean energy certifications portable across borders so qualified technicians can power projects anywhere under the AfCFTA framework. https://lnkd.in/e3kr4Nyj
