📣 Humanitarian funding is contracting sharply, while the need for mental health and psychosocial support continues to grow. Sustaining Investment in MHPSS Localisation and Integration: Recommendations for Donors examines what funders can do to protect MHPSS and make their investments more locally led, integrated and sustainable. 🎥 WATCH https://lnkd.in/gvwT5Xdk 👇 READ 🔗 Recommendations for donors: https://shorturl.at/M7VeB 🔗 A decision brief for donors: https://shorturl.at/ePM6d 🔗 Case studies: https://shorturl.at/JP9lv The paper was developed by The MHPSS Collaborative, in partnership with Peace of Mind Foundation, Save the Children International, MHPSS.net, Terres des hommes, Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN), the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN), George Washington University Center for Global Mental Health Equity, and UNICEF, with funding from Peace of Mind Foundation, Save the Children, and DANIDA. It draws on a review of published and grey literature on humanitarian financing, localisation, and integration; key informant interviews with funders, practitioners, and researchers on what good funding looks like from both sides of the funding relationship; case studies on localisation and integration in practice across different contexts; and featured approaches showing how particular funders and implementing organisations have built these principles into the way they work.

⚡ New Recommendations for Donors ⚡ Sustaining Investment in MHPSS Localisation and Integration. Humanitarian funding is contracting sharply—while the need for mental health and psychosocial support continues to grow. Sustaining Investment in MHPSS Localisation and Integration: Recommendations for Donors examines what funders can do to protect MHPSS and make their investments more locally led, integrated and sustainable. The paper focuses on two commitments that are increasingly important in the current funding crisis: - Localisation must shift power—not only implementation. Local and national actors need meaningful influence over priorities, resources and decisions, supported by flexible, multi-year funding that covers the real costs of their work. - Integration must strengthen the whole system of care. Embedding MHPSS within health, education, protection, livelihoods and other services can improve access and outcomes— but it requires dedicated resources, supported workers, effective referral pathways and continued investment in focused and specialised care. 📙 Recommendations for donors Humanitarian funding is contracting sharply—while the need for mental health and psychosocial support continues to grow. Sustaining Investment in MHPSS Localisation and Integration: Recommendations for Donors examines what funders can do to protect MHPSS and make their investments more locally led, integrated and sustainable. 👉 Download https://shorturl.at/M7VeB 📘 A decision brief for donors Humanitarian funding is contracting while needs continue to rise, and Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) enters this period after years of chronic underinvestment. Donors therefore face two linked tasks: protect MHPSS services that are already limited and change the funding practices that keep local actors under-resourced, fragment the continuum of care and make integrated work difficult to sustain. 👉 Download https://shorturl.at/ePM6d 📗 Case studies This document contains six selected case studies that were collected for the paper “Sustaining Investment in MHPSS Localisation and Integration: Recommendations for donors”. 👉 Download https://shorturl.at/JP9lv
