Inspiring reflections and an incredible backdrop. We’re proud of the momentum we’re building together and look forward to what’s ahead for SCA!
Walking from Sea Point to Camps Bay this morning, I found myself reflecting on a great week at Africa Energy Week in Cape Town. There's a real sense of momentum returning to exploration along the African margins, and we've had some great conversations with clients about the challenges and opportunities ahead. I've been encouraged by the interest in how we're bringing together technical expertise, strategic advisory, and capability development at SCA, working in partnership with our clients to help them make better value-driven decisions and build lasting capability. We have an ambitious vision: to be the global gold standard for capability in the oil and gas industry. I'm excited about the journey we're on and the opportunities ahead.

When is the right time to bring in external technical advisors? 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲. Whether your team is planning to acquire a producing asset, bid in a lease sale, drill an exploration well, conduct a pilot for new technology or commit to a drilling campaign, major decisions require experience and sound judgement. An independent technical review can help: 🔹Validate interpretations to ensure they are geologically sound 🔹Reduce uncertainty and mitigate risk 🔹Fill specialized expertise gaps 🔹Strengthen confidence before making critical investments At SCA, our technical consultants can work alongside clients’ teams or act as independent third-party peer reviewers to provide objective technical insight that helps improve decision quality and project outcomes.
