September has seen a series of engagements by the AI Office with stakeholders across the AI ecosystem. As part of its ongoing stakeholder engagement programme, the Office has engaged with CeADAR Ireland, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), Forensic Science Ireland, Ibec and Meta. Engagement with stakeholders is an important element of the Office's work. These discussions provide opportunities to exchange perspectives on developments in AI, understand emerging challenges and opportunities, and engage with organisations operating across research, industry, government and public services. As AI technologies continue to evolve and the regulatory landscape develops, ongoing dialogue with stakeholders helps inform the Office's understanding of the broader AI ecosystem and the practical issues facing organisations developing, deploying and using AI systems. The Office welcomes engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders and values the exchange of experience and perspectives. Constructive dialogue across sectors will continue to play an important role in supporting effective and trustworthy AI governance. We thank all those who engaged with the Office during September and look forward to continuing these conversations in the months ahead. *AI Modified* #AI #AIGovernance #AITechnologies #ArtificialIntelligence #AIOfficeofIreland
Great to see the AI Office driving sustained, meaningful engagement across the ecosystem. A strong effort by the Board and team — this kind of consistent dialogue is exactly what strengthens trustworthy AI governance and keeps policy aligned with real‑world practice.
Meta, really ? why not Amazon, and Microsoft and Google OpenAi, XGrok ? also. ?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Look forward to being part of the conversation 🫡
Great to see this engagement. One suggestion: I’d love to see Irish SMEs and the people actually using AI day-to-day given a strong voice in these conversations too. Regulation and governance are essential, but the other side of the equation is practical adoption and AI skills. Perhaps the AI Office could establish an SME AI Adoption Panel — bringing together small businesses, employees and AI practitioners to regularly share what is actually stopping businesses from adopting AI safely and productively. Ireland has an opportunity not just to regulate AI well, but to become one of the best countries in Europe at actually using it.
