Advancing space sensing. Protecting the homeland. Delivering defense technology at scale. During the AUSA Annual Meeting, Leonardo DRS was pleased to welcome staff from the office of Rep. Derek Tran (CA-45) to our booth for a briefing on critical programs underway by our Space team in California. The discussion highlighted our mission-enabling missile-warning and tracking payloads, space-based sensors capable of rapidly identifying wildfires, and seeker-head designs engineered for affordable, high-rate interceptor production. We appreciate the engagement with Rep. Tran’s office and the opportunity to highlight how local engineering in the 45th District supports national security priorities well into the next decade. #LeonardoDRS #AUSA2026 #SpaceSensing #MissileDefense #Innovation

I accept the challenge. Need power, water, and Rocket Fuel next the launch complex? https://lnkd.in/eCfPkR4D I did this thought experiment while I had the chance to see if technology caught up with my Space mining and manufacturing ideas. Even with the next wave of mobility, AI, and digital transformation there is not a structure for it all to be a comprehensive closed loop intelligent space ecosystem for all if this to exist in. Here it is. Please ask questions and offer suggestions. This now has a life of its own and I am excited to see where it will take humanity. Collaboration is the true key to life. I have published my Master Business model for peer review. It is really technical and just a synapsis that will provide the infrastructure to further Human Space exploration I will be publishing the elaborated in depth focused workings of each section and how it connects to the bigger picture. This will spark the interest of the parties benefiting from this and lead them to joining in the vision of a closed loop ecosystem that benefits all. Warning, it is technical. My brainiac family had trouble finishing it. I am doing a weekly series to make it more comprehensive towards the public. The article You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out by Paul Fimbres (featuring lead system architect Jan Perera Rodriguez and the CILEC Engineering Consortium) presents a multi-phase technical and financial strategy aimed at achieving self-sustaining, off-world industrialization: Core Highlights Financial amp; Terrestrial Foundation (Phase 1):To eliminate high upfront space deployment costs, the project begins on Earth at a staging facility in Palm Bay, Florida. It utilizes a 2.5 GW Thorium Molten Salt Reactor (TMSR) co-generation plant.1.5 GW powers AI data centers via long-term power purchase agreements to generate immediate revenue.1.0 GW powers zero-liquid-discharge desalination to supply fresh municipal water, capture commercial minerals, and supply water for hydrogen/oxygen rocket propellant production. Lunar Mining amp; Adaptive Automation (Phase 2):Introduces the Lunar Utility Base (LUB) chassis equipped with a Universal Interface Matrix (UIM) for modular tool attachment. Its primary harvesting vehicle—the LOBSTORobot—is designed with biomechanical features capable of changing size and shape. To navigate rough lunar terrain without getting stuck, it can switch from driving to an active walking mode on multi-jointed limbs. It uses counter-rotating brushes and multi-stage sifting to harvest regolith and ice. Solar System Transport Factories (Phase 3):Details artificial-gravity transport architectures designed to harvest asteroids and planetary ice. These mobile factories refine raw space ores into structural elements while in transit across cislunar, Martian, and deep-space corridors. https://lnkd.in/euJ8FsYC https://lnkd.in/euc7ftMJ

Mission Delta 9 owns the U.S. Space Force’s orbital warfare mission! Over 575 Guardians have graduated MD 9’s Orbital Defense Initiation course since 2022, focusing on tactical planning, threat analysis, and space-to-space engagements to mitigate risks to U.S. Allied, and partner interests on orbit in an increasingly contested and congested environment. Achieving space superiority requires uniquely trained forces to deter aggression and protect against any threat to peace in the space domain. Read more about ODIN. #SemperSupra #SemperVenator

As part of our World Space Week series, the 25xTalent team are sharing some proprietary data from our forthcoming research on New Technologies. #25xTalentResearch #WorldSpaceWeek #SpaceInvestment
As part of our World Space Week series, we are sharing some proprietary data from our forthcoming research on New Technologies. While the US still dominates space investment, we are seeing growing investment from China and Europe, alongside increasing focus on military sovereignty. Recent developments include: ➡️ Airbus and Lockheed Martin are competing to build the UK’s next generation of SkyNet military satellites (a £2bn contract). ➡️ Planet has opened a new satellite manufacturing facility in Germany, as the country plans €35bn of investment in satellite communications and observation systems by 2030. ➡️ Airbus and Unseenlabs have been awarded France’s CASSIOPÉE contract to renew its space-based signals intelligence capability. ➡️ Rheinmetall Italia and ARGOTEC have launched their first satellite for national security and military situational awareness. For more news on our forthcoming research, follow us: https://lnkd.in/eDvZbAJY #25xTalentResearch #WorldSpaceWeek #SpaceInvestment

The Defense Support Program constellation, the backbone of the Missile Warning and Tracking enterprise since the 1970s, was officially retired in September during @U.S. Space Command’s Apollo Maneuvers live-fly exercise when the 2nd Space Warning Squadron maneuvered the final two satellites into super synchronous orbit. While the DSP constellation provided uninterrupted service to the joint force alongside the SBIRS constellation, launched in 2011, Mission Delta 4 is preparing to integrate the NGG system into its space-based missile warning and tracking infrastructure. MD4 will continue to strengthen our network of ground- and space-based sensors to defend our nation and protect our joint warfighters against today’s more advanced threats. #SemperSupra #SemperVenator
