When I was CRO of a $200M SaaS, doing POCs almost destroyed us—months wasted, team exhausted, buyers constantly delaying. Until my VP Sales said, “Kill the POC. We’ll validate value clearly in 3 hours flat”. Here's exactly how we rebuilt our sales process and cut our sales cycle by 50%: BACKGROUND: We were selling 100% enterprise. POCs were the automatic default: Heavy, technical validation lasting 1-3 months. It was painful… - Sales Engineers were overloaded - Buyers kept delaying due to resource issues - Buyers kept wanting more “just one more test” Initially, I thought: It’s Enterprise, that’s the game right? Until our VP Sales, Idan Arealy, joined. Two weeks in, he tells me: “No offense—but these POCs are total overkill.” “Buyers don’t need these endless tests.” “They’re not doubting the tech.” “They’re doubting the value.” “And we don’t need this complexity to prove value.” So he suggested a simpler, smarter alternative: The 'Use Case Workshop'—and it changed everything. Here’s the step-by-step: —— 1. Kickoff (45 min) - AE positions the workshop immediately post-demo: “Here’s what we typically do next to help validate real-world scenarios in just hours—no heavy lift needed. Shall we set it up?" - SE runs deeper disco into problem root causes in a kickoff call - AE sets clear Mutual Action Plan (MAP) 2. Internal Alignment (60 min) - SE & AE clearly define and build initial use-case solutions - Output: Slides outlining impactful solutions & open questions 3. Use Case Co-Design (45 min) - Live session with buyers walking through scenarios - Collaboratively refine solutions LIVE (e.g. Miro, slides): “Walk me through this problem in more detail—we’ll map exactly how solving it looks." 4. Prioritization & Wrap Up (30 min) - Jointly prioritize top 3 impactful use cases clearly: "Which scenarios, solved, would immediately solve [Problem]?" - Lock down committed next steps ↳ Result? - 3 focused hours (instead of months) - Clear, confident buyers ready to champion - 100% faster sales cycles & higher win rates —— POCs are NOT mandatory. Buyers don't want endless tests. Don’t default to what most buyers ask. Design what will solve what they need— With as little friction as possible. That's: Sales Process Design 101. P.S. We built Aligned to help manage the chaos of Complex Sales. 100% FREE Deal Room used by 40K AEs to run POCs, MAPs, etc. Try it https://lnkd.in/d_49kHZE

Most tech pipelines do not die from competition. They die from confusion. Confusion about who owns the outcome. Confusion about why this matters now. Confusion about what breaks if we do nothing. Fix the confusion. You fix the forecast. Here is the operating system I install in B2B heavy cycles. Open strong… Every call starts with why this matters today. Name the trigger. Cite two relevant wins. Set a clear agenda. You earn the right to ask bigger questions. Diagnose like an operator… Ask the 12-month consequence question. If we do nothing. What fails next year. Then walk down four levels of impact. Personal. Department. Company. Customer. Leaders fund impact. Not features. Own the room… One person quarterbacks discovery. SMEs enter for proof. Then exit. The quarterback sets next steps. Always. Turn polite interest into active urgency… Drop three crisp insights about their world. Invite reaction. Tie each to measurable risk. You move from “interesting” to “we need to fix this.” Build the business case with the buyer… Do not let the champion sell alone. Co-create the problem statement. Quantify direct costs and opportunity costs. Package the memo their executive will approve. Price like a pro… Give a range tied to scope. Ask how that aligns with expectations? Protect the low end. Offer phased paths for speed to value. Test for deal reality… Ask for leader access. Ask to meet two adjacent departments. If every door is closed. You have a “See-more.” Re-qualify or exit. When you install this system, three things happen. Your stage probabilities become real. Your cycle time shrinks. Your win rate climbs without begging for more TOFU. More pipeline is not the answer. A disciplined process that converts is the answer. — Sales Leaders! If you’re not sure if you have a process you can trust, we should talk: https://lnkd.in/ghh8VCaf

This is what happens when sales talks first and engineering talks later. If you want fewer broken promises and more closed deals that actually stick follow this exact flow: 📌 Step 1: Turn every customer request into a clear use-case Instead of asking engineering: “Can we build this feature?” Ask: “The customer wants to automate X to save Y hours - what’s realistically possible today?” Engineers think in systems, not sales language. 📌 Step 2: Get a fast feasibility check (15–30 minutes max) Before any pitch: Share with engineering: * Customer goal * Expected outcome * Deadline Ask for: ✅ Can do now ⚠️ Can do with work ❌ Not possible Document it. 📌 Step 3: Pitch only what got a green or yellow light Green → sell confidently Yellow → sell with conditions Red → don’t sell If it’s yellow, say: “We can reach this result in phases, not instantly.” This keeps excitement without lying. 📌 Step 4: Lock scope in writing after the call Send a quick recap: “Here’s what we agreed is possible in phase one…” This protects: * Sales credibility * Engineering bandwidth * Customer trust 📌 Step 5: Create a weekly sales-engineering sync (30 mins) Agenda: * New deals in pipeline * Risky promises * Technical blockers This one meeting prevents 80% of post-sale chaos. 📌 Step 6: Track one metric 👉 % of deals delivered without scope change If it’s low → sales is overselling If it’s high → alignment is working That's it!

The Product-Led Sales Process That Doubled Our Conversion Rate Most companies try to sell harder when growth slows. We took the opposite approach at Zoho and saw remarkable results. Here's our exact process broken down: 1) Problem Identification • Listen to customer pain points first • Document specific operational challenges • Categorize by impact level and urgency 2) Solution Demonstration • Create targeted mini-demos for each problem type • Show real workflows, not feature lists • Focus on the "aha moment" where value becomes clear 3) Case Study Integration • One manufacturing client reduced order processing time by 68% • Their breakthrough? Using Zoho Creator to automate a 14-step process • The critical insight came in step 3 where they discovered hidden bottlenecks 4) KPI Transformation • Help clients redefine what success looks like • The metrics you choose matter more than the dashboard displaying them • Example: One client switched from tracking "total leads" to "problem-aware leads"—sales cycle shortened by 40% 5) Education-First Follow-Up • Share industry insights relevant to their challenges • Provide templates and frameworks they can use immediately • Create value before asking for commitment This approach takes patience but builds significantly stronger relationships. The result? Customers who sell your product for you. What process does your team follow when introducing solutions to prospects? I'd love to hear what's working for you. 👉 Follow me for more such posts. 🔄 REPOST to help others.

Please, stop calling me MQL and asking your sales team to call me after a webinar. I feel we can easily improve the event follow-up playbook... The broken event follow-up playbook: - Mark event sign ups as MQLs in Hubspot/Salesforce - Starting 5-emails nurturing sequence pushing attendee to book a demo - Assigning MQLs to sales and asking to call Webinar sign-ups ≠ buying intent. Here is how to refine event follow-up playbook to align it with the level of demand of the sign ups and their buyer journey stage. 1/ MARKETING: - Upload a recording and slides to a relevant content hub - Download and qualify sign ups by ICP criteria - Segment all qualified contacts by tiers - Match tier 1 and tier 2 accounts with the pipeline status and buyer journey stage - Add all accounts to the demand gen retargeting group aligned with the buyer journey 2/ SALES - Connect & engage with net new tier 1 and tier 2 accounts who consumed content in the content hub - When connected, ask for feedback and do progressive profiling to understand better where they are in the buying journey and what their needs - Suggest "bridge" activities (e.g. strategy sessions) to create logical bridge between current buyer needs and your product 3/ MARKETING AND SALES - Discuss collected insights and move accounts to a relevant ABM playbook matched with the accounts' journey stage. --- Nobody is signing up for the webinar to listen to the blatant product promotion or high-level stuff that ChatGPT can provide. B2B buyers come for practical learnings, connections and entertainment. Educate -> engage -> create demand -> research and understand the buyer journey stage and current needs of your prospects -> create "bridge" activities / buyer enablement - this is how you influence the buying process with webinars and generate pipeline.

Sales are predictable, only if you have the right people and playbook. Here's part of my playbook after helping guide 12 companies to unicorn status: Most startups struggle with sales not because their product isn’t great. But because they’re winging it instead of following a proven process. Here’s the process I’ve used to scale 1 in every 5 companies I've worked with to unicorn status or 9-figure exits. Step 1: Be clear about your ICP Most startups think their audience is "everyone." Wrong. - Who has the biggest pain that your product solves? - Who has the budget and urgency to buy now? - Who will refer you to others after buying? - Who is easiest to get ahold of? Pro tip: If your sales team is chasing everyone, they’re closing no one. Step 2: Fix your sales messaging If your pitch sounds like everyone else’s, your prospects zone out. Don’t say “We’re an innovative AI-powered solution…” Instead, lead with outcomes. ❌ “We help companies streamline operations.” ✅ “We helped Scott cut CAC by 37% in 60 days. Any reason you couldn't get similar results?" Buyers don’t care about your product. They care about how it fixes their problem. Step 3: Build a repeatable sales process. If you don’t have a process, you have a guessing game. Here’s what I set up: - Outbound Sequence – Cold outreach that feels warmed up - Inbound Strategy – Attract buyers to you through content - Go To Network Strategy - Get intros to the interested - Sales Stages – Steps from discovery to close - Follow-Up – “No” is better than nothing Sales should feel like a well-rehearsed dance, not an improv session. Step 4: Data-driven sales execution Gut feelings don’t scale. Data does. We track: - Conversion rates at every stage - Sales cycle length - Top-performing reps (What are they doing differently?) The fastest-growing startups aren’t guessing. They’re iterating based on numbers. Step 5: Optimize & scale A great sales strategy isn’t set in stone, it evolves, so revisit every 6 months. - Are deals stalling? We learn why. - Are leads ghosting? We refine messaging. - Is the close rate dropping? We help fix it, quickly. Sales isn’t magic. It’s a system. Build the system, and the revenue follows. If your startup’s sales feel random instead of codified, it’s time to get serious. DM me, let’s build a sales engine that actually works.

We added $2M to pipeline in 90 days. Here’s the 4-step GTM system behind it 👇 Most teams obsess over ONE stage: - Lead gen - Or capture - Or nurture - Or closing Almost never all four. That’s why their pipelines leak. When you connect all four, everything compounds. 1️⃣ Lead Generation For context: 35,000+ people visited our site last month. How we drive traffic: - LinkedIn content - Cold outreach - SEO content - Paid ads The tools we use: Data: Openmart, FullEnrich, Prospeo.io, Icypeas, LeadMagic, Clay Outreach: lemlist, Instantly.ai, Woodpecker.co Signals: Common Room, LoneScale Content: Scripe, Taplio, Notion SEO: AirOps, Ahrefs, Surfer Ads: Fibbler, arcads AI 2️⃣ Lead Capture When traffic lands on our website, nothing gets wasted. How we capture it: Lead magnets → emails Visitor ID → anonymous traffic Smart forms → instant routing VSLs → clarity in 7 minutes For this we us: Instantly, Vector, Wistia, Webflow, Default 3️⃣ Lead Management If they don’t buy right away, they enter nurture: - Intent-based scoring - Automated sequences - Follow-up triggered for high-scoring leads Tools: Customer.io, beehiiv, n8n, Relevance AI, OpenAI, Clay 4️⃣ Lead Conversion Most deals close on Google Meet. Our accelerator often closes in chat. Tools: Attio, Breakcold, Attention, Qwilr, PandaDoc Last 90 days: +$2M pipeline added 35K+ monthly visitors 2% visitor → qualified lead By the time they book a call, they already trust us Because they’ve seen the content, the offer, and the system.

Most loan officers follow up twice on a $4,000 commission. Tech sales reps touch prospects 12+ times on a $500 deal. I watched a SaaS rep last week hit his prospect eight times across email, text, LinkedIn, and phone to close a $299/month software deal. His commission was maybe $360. Same day, a loan officer tells me he gave up on a qualified buyer after two phone calls. That's a $4,000 commission. Gone. Not to mention the potential lifetime value of that client relationship. Because two attempts felt like enough. Here's what tech sales knows that mortgage still struggles with: Multi-channel sequences work. Not just calls. Not just emails. Everything. Touch 1-2: Call/text within 60 seconds Touch 3-4: Call + follow-up text (day 2) Touch 5-6: Value email + text check-in Touch 7-8: Call attempt + educational content Touch 9-10: Social touchpoint + targeted text Touch 11: Final push - call, text, email Touch 12: Breakthrough or move to nurture Most of this can run on autopilot. Automated emails nurture while you work. Scheduled texts deploy while you sleep. The automation isn't replacing you. It's warming them up for when you actually connect. But mortgage still treats follow-up like it's 1995. Two calls, maybe a voicemail, mark it dead. Then drop 'em in that slick monthly email newsletter system. Meanwhile, that "dead" lead is closing with the loan officer who didn't give up after two tries. Their system kept nurturing - email, text, calls - until the prospect was finally ready to engage. Maybe that was touch #7, maybe touch #12. Doesn't matter. What matters is they were still there when the lead was ready. At $4,000 per loan, every non-responsive lead is a missed opportunity to print money. But you're treating follow-up like you're selling magazine subscriptions. Tech figured this out. Steal their playbook. #mortgage #sales #rebeliQ

The best sales teams stopped hiring salespeople. They hired engineers instead. The old go-to-market playbook had three moves: 1. Hire more reps. 2. Buy the category-leading tools. 3. Let sales and marketing work in separate silos. That playbook treated pipeline as a headcount problem. The top teams now treat it as an engineering problem. A small RevOps + GTM Engineer team runs the whole machine. Nine steps, in order: 1. Ideal customer profile. Export Closed Won and Closed Lost from the CRM. Feed both into Claude Code to find the patterns. Build the profile on three layers: firmographics, account signals, technographics. 2. Market map. Every company that fits the profile: Apollo.io 's company database, Ocean.io for lookalikes, AI Ark for keyword search, Clay 's database for the rest. 3. Account research. Enrich every account at scale: Apollo.io for firmographics, Claygent + Claude for fit signals, Exa for deep web research, Sumble for technographics, Findymail for social signals. 4. Tier and score. Split accounts into Tier 1, 2, 3. Score each one by awareness stage: identified, aware, interested, considering, selecting. 5. Contact sourcing. Clay + AI Ark to find the buying committee. Findymail to find and verify emails. BetterContact for phone numbers. 6. Demand generation. Only now do the channels turn on. Content (LinkedIn, X, website), outbound (LinkedIn, email, calls), and ads (LinkedIn, Meta, Google) run together on the same foundation. 7. Meeting booked. Clay routes the lead to HubSpot. Cal.com books the call. 8. Sales process. Ergo for account intel before every call. Nooks for dialing. Apollo.io + HubSpot to run the pipeline. Qwilr for proposals. Claude as the copilot through all of it. 9. Closed won. Every closed deal feeds back into step 1 and sharpens the next search for lookalikes. Count the steps before anyone writes a single email: five. The old playbook started at step 6. That's why it's broken.

I built a lead-gen system powered by 60 AI agents that now replaces an entire outbound team. Booked 22 calls last week using it. The system, built across 6 categories of agents, covers: → Prospecting (ICP, buyer intent, decision-maker mapping) → Outreach (DM writing, follow-ups, objection handling) → Enrichment (company intelligence, persona research, lead scoring) → Pipeline conversion (qualification, forecasting, churn detection) → Messaging & funnel (angle creation, timing optimisation, CTA testing) → Intelligence & automation (trigger tracking, pricing signals, CRM sync) Each agent runs a specialised task and hands off to the next. The output is a fully-automated, multi-agent engine that finds, qualifies, nurtures, and books meetings — without manual effort. I ran the system on a new niche last week before building an outbound flow. The agents identified: – 3 fast-growing companies expanding headcount – A founder posting frustration signals around lead quality – A competitor’s funnel weakness – 17 high-intent prospects with matching tech stacks One click later, the outreach agents activated: → Personalised openers from the DM Agent → Social-aware timing from the Engagement Tracker → Objection handling scripts from the Handler Agent → Automatic call prep summaries from the Meeting Prep Agent Booked 14 calls in 7 days — all from cold. The use cases go far beyond outbound: For businesses: → Build accurate ICPs using behavioural + firmographic signals → Detect buying intent before prospects reveal it → Run multi-channel nurture without extra headcount → Build a “virtual SDR team” with zero hiring cost For freelancers: → Run high-volume outreach with personalised angles → Offer lead research as a premium add-on → Qualify clients before wasting hours on calls For employees: → Prepare for stakeholder meetings with AI-built dossiers → Automate weekly reporting and CRM hygiene → Track market and competitor movements in real time Everything runs on publicly available data and internal logic. It removes busywork, increases precision, and de-risks outbound. Comment “AGENTS” and I’ll send you the full 60-agent system (+ quickstart guide) __ P.S. I drop 2 new tutorials weekly. Follow so you don’t miss them :)
