To celebrate 15 years of Google Arts & Culture connecting people with art and history, we’re launching a redesigned mobile app. 📱✨ Here are five ways you can use it to explore culture across the globe ↓ 1️⃣ From cultural moments to interactive exhibits, the all new homepage updates daily with new experiences across the app to showcase the world’s culture and inspire your daily discovery. 2️⃣ Using archives from thousands of global partners, the AI-powered search shows you relevant artworks, curated stories, and interactive features to bring your answer to life in a visual-first experience. 3️⃣ Upload a selfie to virtually try on historical attire, like a robe from the Roman Empire or kilt from the ancient Celtic tribes. Chrono Look bridges the gap between modern tech and historical fashion archives, transforming your portrait into sketches and photorealistic interpretations of the past. 4️⃣ Make history feel more alive when you “call” and chat with personas of historical artists using Dial-an-Artist, turning learning into a dynamic, two-way exploration. 5️⃣ Now with 27 new destinations to explore, City Guide can help you discover hidden gems, landmarks, architectural wonders, and local hotspots. AI has the potential to help scientists accelerate foundational neuroscience research. One example is connectomics projects, which reconstruct connections between brain cells. We’re sharing our latest ground-breaking connectome project from Google Research and Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) on the complete male fruit fly brain. This connectome will help scientists decipher how animal nervous systems perceive the world, react to stimuli, and crucially, how damaged neural pathways might one day be repaired. https://goo.gle/3V7qYuZ

We’re hiring — right now — for Research Engineers to join Polaris, a new team at Google DeepMind. As synthetic data pipelines hit their ceiling, the hardest engineering problem in AI is translating the full depth, nuance, and complexity of real-world software engineering into rigorous evaluation frameworks and training benchmarks. That’s why we’re building Polaris. Rather than generating a large number of tasks using a synthetic data pipeline, engineers on the Polaris team focus on creating a smaller number of tasks that more closely capture the complexity of real-world software engineering — taking roughly a week to complete, from ideation to final approval. Alongside building these benchmarks, you will have the autonomy to launch entirely new projects within DeepMind aimed at advancing Gemini’s training data and evaluations. You’ll create experiments, prototype implementations, design new architectures, and tackle real-world problems across AI, NLP, compilers, search, and hardware/software performance analysis all while staying connected to the wider research community through university partnerships and publishing papers. Great talent comes from anywhere. We're hiring across the entire spectrum of experience to find the best people in the world. We want to hear from you if you are: • A Competitor or Hacker: You thrive in competitive programming, math olympiads (IMO, IOI, Putnam, USAMO), or hackathons, and love constructing deeply challenging problems. • An AI-Native Builder: You already live in AI coding agents and LLM-based workflows to ship software at high velocity. • A Polyglot Engineer: You can parachute into unfamiliar programming paradigms, tools, and technical stacks and master them rapidly. If you want to build with a team at Google DeepMind, or know someone who belongs in this room, join us. Apply now → https://goo.gle/3V5Kacp

The best way to understand a client’s business? Think like their customer. As a Field Sales Representative on our Google Cloud team, Cori has found some unexpected ways to do just that. While pitching a retail media client, she showed how she uses Gemini as a busy mom to find dinner recipes, then customized a recipe to feature their product. “It was a relatable way to prove I understand their business from a consumer’s perspective,” she explains. For another client, an online marketplace for digital assets, customers knew what they wanted, but keyword search couldn’t always get them there. Cori helped explore how Gemini could understand what someone meant, not just the words they typed. Her advice to anyone looking to succeed in sales? “Be authentic, know their business, and always ask, ‘What’s in it for them?’ Also, own your story.” Read more about Cori’s career and the skills behind strategic sales at Google → https://goo.gle/4hU353g

“Google has a long history of tackling moonshots. I think one of the really exciting things about Project Suncatcher: it's a new way to support what AI can bring to humanity,” - Maria Biggs, director of engineering at Google. Biggs is part of the team working on Project Suncatcher, our moonshot to explore sending TPUs to space, and eventually, power machine learning infrastructure in orbit. Soon we’re kicking off our first test in space, working toward that long-term goal. 🚀 Learn more about the satellite launch and the scientific research that helped us get there. https://goo.gle/4jmjZbl

"If you land an interview at Google, your biggest advantage is already sitting in your inbox," says Mauricio, a Data Engineer at Google Mexico. When he was preparing for the role, he didn't guess what interviewers were looking for — he relied on the prep guides, video tutorials, and mock tools sent directly by his recruiter. "My primary advice is to thoroughly review these resources and follow the provided instructions closely," he shares. His opportunity began as a cloud consultant, where he remained intentional about selecting hands-on data projects and earning Google Cloud skill badges to build his expertise. That targeted background caught a recruiter's eye and landed him on our YouTube Marketing SIGMA team — which stands for Strategy, Insights, Global Operations, Marketing Tech, and Analytics. If you're ready to bring your data skills to Mexico City, check out open roles at our Mexico office → https://goo.gle/4czuVOO

Can AI infrastructure perform in space? That’s the question behind Project Suncatcher, our long-term research moonshot exploring whether space could one day host scalable machine learning infrastructure. Now after years of research, Project Suncatcher is scheduled to embark on its first test in orbit, launching a prototype satellite to evaluate how Google Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) perform in space. Learn more about Project Suncatcher.
