Today, we’re introducing a smarter way to plan your PTO. With individual hotel price tracking in Google Search, you can now monitor your favorite spots and get email notifications when prices change — just like you can with flights. Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ Head to Google Search and look up a hotel by name and add your chosen dates. 2️⃣ Tap the new price tracking toggle on. 3️⃣ Voila! You’ll get email alerts if rates change significantly during your dates. You can also track individual hotel prices at google.com/hotels. Just select a hotel listing and look for the price tracking toggle on the Overview or Prices tab. Learn more travel hacks from Google → https://goo.gle/4tdvkg9

We’re introducing new ways for Personal Intelligence and our best image generation model, Nano Banana 2, to generate images that reflect your life, interests, and the things you care about most. Personal Intelligence securely connects the dots across Google apps like Google Photos and Gmail so Gemini can inherently understand your likes and interests. This allows you to skip long, complex prompts, so a simple request like "design my dream house" now automatically can reflect your unique style and taste. 🏡 Gemini can even use your labeled Google Photos library of you and your loved ones as a visual guide for your creations. Try asking Gemini things like: “Create a claymation image of me and my family enjoying our favorite activity,” and watch your inner circle come to life, automatically. You’re always in control: This remains an opt-in experience that you can adjust in your settings at any time. It’s rolling out now for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in the U.S., and we plan to bring this to Gemini in Chrome desktops and more users soon. Learn more → goo.gle/4cSDCDp

At our inaugural AI for the Economy Forum with MIT FutureTech, we brought together economists, industry leaders, policymakers and workforce training experts to discuss AI’s impact on jobs and the economy. We believe that by working together we can navigate the AI transition successfully. We also shared new investments focused on better understanding how AI will change the economy, training and apprenticeships: -A new AI & Economy Research Program to answer pressing questions about AI's impact -New AI training for rural healthcare workers through a $10 million Google.org initiative in collaboration with the Johnson & Johnson Foundation  -$10 million in Google.org funding to support the Manufacturing Institute in its efforts to train U.S. workers in critical AI skills, and new apprenticeships for manufacturing employees as a pathway to new jobs -Expanded Google.org support for researchers exploring public policy solutions Learn more about how we're working across sectors to get our economy AI-ready from James Manyika ⬇️

Neither the benefits nor the risks of AI are automatic or guaranteed – a lot has to happen, things that we as a society must actively shape for the economic future we want. That was the core premise of today’s AI for the Economy Forum in DC, co-hosted by Google and MIT FutureTech. Realizing AI’s full economic potential requires a new era of partnership across sectors, and we hope today was an important step toward building exactly that. We were honored to be joined by leading economists, policymakers, and industry experts to tackle the most critical questions we face, including:  -What it will take to realize the economic potential from AI -New approaches to training and skill-building  -How AI will augment and change human expertise  -The research breakthroughs driving economic growth  -AI adoption and transformation needed in critical sectors like healthcare and education and manufacturing. At Google we are deeply committed to shaping this transition positively and to benefit everyone. Today – in addition to investments we are already making in infrastructure, workforce, and education – we announced additional investments in research to better understand AI's economic shifts, alongside new workforce training initiatives No single entity can navigate this shift alone. It will take all of us. I left today's convening energized by the collaboration and important perspectives in the room. Enormous thanks to all the expert speakers. Also on this World Quantum Day, it was a pleasure to discuss how advanced technologies’ – like AI and quantum computing – can drive economic growth with Under Secretary for Science at the Department of Energy Darío Gil and my colleague Charina Chou (COO of our Quantum AI team). So much important and exciting work ahead. You can read more about the initiatives we announced today here: https://lnkd.in/gJxg3qRc
