Prior to the ASA Arbitration Retreat 2026, the ASA - Swiss Arbitration Association and the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) will jointly host a separate event in Dubai on 15 October 2026. Bringing together arbitration practitioners, in-house counsel and members of the legal community from Switzerland and the UAE, the event will feature a discussion on: “Contracts Under Pressure: Legal and Strategic Approaches to Navigating Disruption”. The programme will open with remarks from Andrea Meier, President of ASA; Korinna von Trotha, Executive Director of ASA and the Swiss Arbitration Centre; and Robert Stephen, Registrar of DIAC. The panel will be moderated by Sanela Ninković-Jakob of Walder Wyss Ltd.; with Noradele Ghubril Radjai of LALIVE, Karim Nassif; Independent Arbitrator; and Khadija El-Leithy of White & Case LLP. The discussion will consider contractual risk allocation, disruption to performance, and the legal and strategic considerations arising during periods of uncertainty. Senior arbitration practitioners are invited to join the ASA Arbitration Retreat 2026 for two days of substantive, case-based discussion. Designed specifically for professionals with substantial arbitration experience, the Retreat places participants’ own judgement and perspectives at the centre of the exchange.   Organised by the ASA - Swiss Arbitration Association in collaboration with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), the Retreat takes place from 16–18 October 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert.   The programme follows the key stages of an arbitration through real case examples and participant-led debate, rather than lecture-style presentations.
