Manufacturing costs. The challenge we heard most at CAMX 2026. Visitors from UAV and sporting goods asked about price per part before anything else. 📍 CAMX is the leading composites show in North America. Elias Spiegl and Christian Kunze ran our booth alongside our partners Ambroz Both and Zdenek Pavlik from Mejzlik Propellers. The problem behind those questions is familiar: carbon performs, but it gets too expensive to scale. Our answer is our patented fibionic Fiber Placement (FFP). The idea is simple. Nature does not reinforce every surface equally. The main load paths cover only around 10 to 30% of a part. So FFP places continuous fibers only where structurally needed, fully automated. On the line, one part takes less than a minute. And because we skip fiber where the part doesn’t need it, we use less reinforcement material, and every part gets cheaper to make. Building drones or sporting goods and stuck on composite costs? Discuss your project with us. Thanks to SAMPE and CAMX - The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo for bringing the industry together. 🏆 We won the pitch in Silicon Valley. 180 seconds. 14 Austrian startups. One audience vote, and it went to fibionic. At Austrian Demo Night 2026 in San Francisco, Elias Hirschbichler took the stage to show how we bring nature’s design principles into industrial manufacturing. Our idea is simple: place continuous fibers only where a structure actually needs them. With our patented fibionic Fiber Placement (FFP), this bionic design meets the fastest fiber placement process. The result: lighter composite structures, produced in high volume at low cost. Building drones, humanoid robots or sports & leisure equipment and struggling to scale lightweight structures? 👇 Let’s talk. Drop a comment or send us a DM. A big thank you to OPEN AUSTRIA, especially Michael Dobersberger and the entire GoUSA team, and to SAP Labs for hosting. And thanks to everyone who voted for us! 🙏 Congratulations to VITAMARIE on the Rising Star Award and to all participating startups. 🚀 🚀 Thomas Rettenwander | Johannes Mandler | Elias Hirschbichler #fibionic #OpenAustria #GoUSA #AustrianDemoNight #SiliconValley #LightweightComposites #DeepTech
