  • We’re pleased to bring The Future of Video back on 9 December, alongside The Future of TV Advertising Global at Kings Place, London. It will be an afternoon of fresh thinking and real-world innovation from the companies redefining video advertising. Attendance is by invitation only, and you can request yours via the website.

The Future of Video is back. On 9 December, The Future of Video returns to Kings Place, London, alongside The Future of TV Advertising Global. This invitation-only afternoon brings together senior decision-makers from across the industry, including media owners, platforms, brands, agencies, creators and technology innovators, to explore how video is being created, distributed, bought and measured. Across ten curated showcases, the video reimagined programme will look at where audiences are going, how publishers, creators and emerging platforms are opening up new opportunities, and how innovation is delivering measurable commercial growth. Three questions will run through the afternoon. Where is attention moving? How can advertisers make smarter investments? And how do we prove that video delivers? In a world where everyone is becoming a video business, the opportunities have never been greater. Attendance is by invitation only. Request your invitation here: https://lnkd.in/e3u2yKPA

"This is going to irritate the rest of the category." say TOTM - exactly the kind of ambition challenger brands debuting on TV should have! Can't wait to see theirs and the full suite of Channel 4 B Coprs ads live on Sunday... In June I had the pleasure of sitting on the judging panel for Channel 4 Sales B Corp competition, run with B Lab UK. The five winners make their TV debut in a B Corp Channel 4 ad-break takeover. Ahead of the launch I caught up with Holy Moly and TOTM to find out what they expect: awareness, stock moving off shelves and, in one case, rivals getting rattled. Hats off to my fellow judges Samantha Hicks (who chaired us brilliantly), Stephen Woodford, Rupert Carter, Miketta Lane, Anuradha Chugh, Rosalind Holley and Anthony Moore, and to all five winners: Faith In Nature, Holy Moly, Klyk, SURI and TOTM. Thanks also to Bansri S. and Tom Patterson (despite Tom wimping out from naming his favourite judge.) https://lnkd.in/eZ5vkYhv

A rare foray onto our podcast this morning and a chance for those not at The Future of Media Manchester to hear the excellent discussion Dean Scoggins Nikhita Chulani John Cross and Henry Williams and I had on stage. Was a privilege to hear from 4 journalists at the top of their game covering the biggest game in the world 24/7. Multiple time zones, sport, politics and whether running round Mexico City at altitude was wise. Journalism is constantly changing but the fundamental role of journalists in bringing the story to audiences and capturing the power of cultural moments hasn't. We also got into the controversies, the celebrations and real football v franchises. Thanks to Newsworks, Reach plc, News Corp Guardian Advertising and Mail Metro Media for helping pull the session together. As Jack Benjamin says, this is that conversation, I hope you enjoy it: https://lnkd.in/e367FrQU

Thoroughly enjoyable way to start off The Future of Media Manchester for me, was delighted to be able to work with Newsworks to get the chance to chat football on stage. Thanks to Dean, Henry, Nikhita and John for sharing some cracking stories and insights from the world cup - and for indulging me asking the obvious AFC Wimbledon question. The key message is that news brands drive culture, build communities and serve brands. The agenda for The Future of Media Canada 2026 is now live. Media is a business that grows brands, shifts behaviour and creates value - powered increasingly by data, technology and AI. But at its core, it's still a people business: built on creativity, storytelling and human brilliance. That won't change; if anything, it will matter more. In its inaugural year, Future of Media Canada is driven by The Media Leader's mission to champion the industry, spotlight the issues that matter, and learn from the market's most prominent voices. A huge thank you to our sponsors and partners for supporting the launch of this new event. We’re looking forward to bringing Canada’s media community together in September. Adwanted Media Research Awards: a category just for adtech We put outstanding achievements into the spotlight to showcase how research has time and time again unlocked strategies to drive advertising success.   Adtech has been revolutionising the media industry for many years now, and we think it's about time the industry acknowledges its achievements in media research. This is why we introduced the new category 'Best Custom Media Research Project - Adtech', to allow adtech firms to show the great work it has been doing in the space.   If you're an adtech company that has delivered innovative and successful media research using qualitative, quantitative, desk research or a combination of the approaches - this could be your chance to get the recognition you deserve.   The Adwanted Media Research Awards 2027 opens for entries 1 September, you can take advantage of the early bird entry fee by getting your submission in by 7 October and the final deadline is 14 October.   Visit our AMRA 2027 website for more information, link in comments section. #AMRAs2027 #adtech #MediaResearch #AMRAs
