For our July Perspective, we dive into two upcoming propositions on the ballot this November: Prop 1 and 43. Marin has over 2,000 approved affordable housing homes waiting to be built, but many remain stalled because there isn’t enough funding. These two propositions on November’s ballot will have a direct impact on Marin’s ability to fund these and future projects. Call Marin Home says YES on Prop 1, and NO on Prop 43. ☀️ Summer in Marin means golden hills, backyard BBQs... and yes, fire season. At Greenbelt Alliance and Call Marin Home, we believe that we have to build with our climate reality and future in mind. New housing doesn’t have to mean more wildfire risk — in fact, done right, it can reduce it. Curious to learn more? We are so grateful for the North Bay Leadership Council for their work and support in making affordable housing in Marin a reality.
North Bay Leadership Council is a proud member of Call Marin Home, a coalition of leading organizations expanding housing through production, preservation, and protections for an inclusive Marin County. We believe that increasing housing supply is essential to advancing our mission and sustaining a thriving, equitable community. Housing is a top policy priority for NBLC. Local decisions about housing are being made now, and elected leaders need to hear clearly from residents and businesses who support building more homes.
