  • A ghoulish tradition continues 👻 For the 17th annual Halloween Costume Contest at our corporate office, this year's theme, Decades of Dread, brought classic horror, pop culture, and plenty of creativity to life. Congratulations to our individual winner, Jennifer, for her “Let Them Eat Cake” costume, and to our group winners, the Marketing & Communications team, for their Hitchcock-inspired take on The Birds. Wishing all a safe and happy Halloween!

  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS) are becoming an increasingly important part of the Southeast’s energy landscape. Lynnae Willette, Director of Regulatory & Legislative Affairs, will speak at the Southeast Renewable Energy Summit on “The Rise of Storage in the Southeast—Positioning to Capture Gigawatts of Opportunities.” Alongside fellow industry experts, Lynnae will discuss how utilities and states are approaching BESS, including emerging procurement opportunities, new battery chemistries, and the role storage can play in supporting grid reliability.

  • Reliable water service is essential to every community. Powering that service takes energy. When Providence Water looked to solar to support its operations, the Pine Hill Solar Project in Johnston, Rhode Island, offered a long-term solution. The project generates enough energy to meet Providence Water’s annual electricity needs while helping reduce operating costs over time, supporting the utility’s ability to serve its community. It's an investment in renewable energy that helps support an essential public service.

  • In a rapidly evolving energy landscape, regulatory strategy is essential to responsible growth. The legal decisions shaping energy development extend far beyond compliance; they influence how projects move forward, how risks are managed, and how organizations prepare for what's next. Marney Hoefer, Associate General Counsel, will join fellow industry leaders at the Energy General Counsel Forum in Houston, October 26–28, for a discussion on The Energy Regulatory Landscape: Strategy and Compliance in a High-Growth Era to examine how evolving regulatory requirements affect project development, infrastructure planning, and governance across traditional and emerging energy assets.

  • In Madison County, Ohio, solar power is generating more than electricity. Fox Squirrel Solar brought together hundreds of skilled workers to build one of the largest utility-scale solar projects east of the Mississippi River. At peak construction, approximately 650 workers were on-site, helping turn an ambitious vision into a 577 MW solar facility. With an estimated $204 million in property tax revenue over the project's lifetime, the benefits to the local community will extend well beyond construction.

  • Good pairings aren’t limited to food and wine. For Domaine Carneros, a commitment to sustainability extends from the vineyard all the way to how the winery is powered. This project helped bring that commitment to life with a solar and storage system designed to support the Napa Valley winery’s operations. The system can supply up to 70% of the winery’s power while providing greater resilience during outages. Cheers to that.
