🔋 The energy at CyberUK has been excellent and for us it charged up a gear as we rubbed shoulders with our alumni from programmes including NCSC For Startups, Cyber Runway and CyberBoost Catalyse in the National Cyber Security Centre's Ecosystem Zone. And on that note, the Ecosystem Plenary – Cyber in The UK's Industry Strategy: Breaking Barriers to Growth – was particularly fascinating. 🗣️ Having attended, Monika Radclyffe, Plexal’s Senior Director of Programmes, reports: “The Ecosystem Plenary discussion observed the challenges startups face in their sales efforts – notably having to overcome regulation challenges. “The conversation reinforced that cyber must be seen as core infrastructure required by all organisations, and invested in as such, rather than an afterthought – often when things go wrong. The takeaway here is lowering the barriers to entry so selling to government becomes an easier process. “From our perspective, partnerships between CISOs, SMEs and innovators need repeatable procurement-ready pathways. Improving cyber sales channels will not only strengthen our resilience but grow and protect our economy.” Diane Gilbert | Jay Wallace VulnCheck | Stephen Kines Goldilock Secure | Samuel Watterson coc00n cyber | Simon Arnell Configured Things | Cristian Gherhes PhD Lexverify (acquired by Trust Stamp) | #CyberUK26

📰 As the UK cyber community gathers in Glasgow for CyberUK 2026, the Laboratory for AI Security Research (LASR) has released new research that speaks directly to one of the conference’s most pressing challenges: securing AI systems at scale. 🔗 Read in full: https://lnkd.in/etiYZnQD The ‘AI Supply Chain Security: From Visibility to Action’ report, developed by Plexal and supported by Cisco, explores why and how traditional software supply chain security approaches fall short for AI. It shows how data-defined systems, fragmented ownership and weak attribution across AI ecosystems create systemic risks that are difficult to detect, trace and remediate. Visibility alone isn’t enough. Transparency mechanisms such as model cards and SBOMs only become meaningful when they’re connected to continuous validation, clear accountability and enforceable action. 🌐 LASR SMEs, including Secure Agentics and TIKOS®, as well as partners Plexal, University of Oxford, The Alan Turing Institute, Queen's University Belfast and HMG are present at #CyberUK26 demonstrating crucial cross-industry representation. And as Cisco’s ongoing collaboration with LASR reaches the one-year milestone, our research reflects the practical, systems-level thinking needed to support secure, resilient and trustworthy AI deployments – particularly across the public sector and critical infrastructure. Really looking forward to CyberUK kicking off today. Lots of milestones coming for Golden Valley in the next few days and weeks! The sun is shining, and as a proud Weegie advertising my Scottish brogue and dialect as often as possible, (just ask the team about ‘stooshies’ or ‘dreich’ weather hopefully you won’t get a ‘glaikit’ look!)…I’m mostly looking forward to having my friends from the South West, “back tae mine”! 🌏 Why Singapore is a launchpad for global cyber security growth 🇸🇬 Business‑friendly, digitally advanced and consistently recognised as a world‑class smart city, Singapore continues to cement its role as a cyber and AI security hub for the APAC region. 🌐 That unique combination is exactly why CyberBoost Catalyse was launched from Singapore in 2024. Delivered as a trilogy of programmes, the six‑month hybrid initiative brings together ambitious international cyber security leaders to connect with the APAC market, accelerate growth strategies and unlock investment and commercial opportunities. Established by the CyberSG TIG Collaboration Centre, supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and National University of Singapore and powered by Plexal, the results speak for themselves. Across three cohorts, participating companies have raised tens of millions of pounds in investment and created over 60 cyber security jobs. We’ve spoken to founders from Singapore, Israel, the UK, South Korea, Oman and the US about what it really takes to scale internationally – and what’s next. 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/exrGE8a6 🤝 Thank you to CloudsineAI CEO and founder Matthias Chin, SQR CEO Shelley Langan-Newton, VulnCheck CEO Anthony Bettini and CMO Thomas Bain, Zeroport CEO Joseph Gertz, Goldilock Secure's Director of Asia Chris Hurd and Vulcan - Security for GenAI's Director of Partnerships Sue Yen LEOW for the insights.

📡 How do we close the gap between cyber innovation and the real security needs of the UK’s critical national infrastructure? At BT Group's Adastral Park – its primary R&D site and home to advanced network, cyber and satellite capabilities – Plexal brought together SME leaders, government officials and CISOs as part of our Cyber Runway CNI programme. Across sectors including energy, water and telecoms, one thing was clear: there’s strong appetite from both public and private sectors to work more closely, not just on cyber risk, but on skills, investment and how SMEs are supported to scale into CNI environments. Based on the discussion, we’ve captured the key challenges and the biggest opportunities from AI onwards for anyone serious about strengthening the UK’s critical national infrastructure. 📰 Read the full piece: https://lnkd.in/ehUJ8dWS APIContext | CloudPeek AI | Goldilock Secure | Hacktonics | KETS Quantum Security | PRAEFERRE | Monika Radclyffe | Diane Gilbert | Sarah Pye | Michelle Zhu | Robert Kearney | Alan Every | Maria Barr | Niki Benning| Adam Bishop | Zen Terrelonge |
